Several quotes were requested to have an idea about the Price of the painting in the complex. The administrator explained the contract has not been allocated as yet. According to the quotations received in the administration office, the cost to get the whole complex painted could be between 1.2 and 1.5 millions of euros aprox. Once these details and the technical report have been received and based on the necessity of carring the paining and maintenance works out in communal areas and apartments where the paint is deteriorated, the administrator explained that the main priorities for the execution of the works would be: to have the work done in accordance with the technican report and also to get it done at the minimum cost for the owners. The deadline to get the whole complex painted would be 3/4 years. There will be an exclusive found for the paint, the owners will contribute with 15€/ owner per quarter in 2015. These payments would be requested separate from the quarterly fees. The first payment would be requested by the end of February 2015 independently of the agreement of the assembly at this point.. The money claimed to Polaris would go to these found. This amount is higher than 250.000 euros, and they community could recover them during 2015-2016. The idea is to get the highest contribution from the Complex and the lowest contribution from the owners. In the next year assembly in 2016, the amount to put in that found would be approved and this same proceding will take place in the following year’s assemblies. The forth year, the contribution would be based in the coefficient of participation, this is, the difference between the estimation of the cost for each apartment as there are three different types of apartments, villa jana, jardines-naranjos and penthouse. More quotations will be requested so the price will be the most accurate one. All the owners will be informed about the process in case that any community member wants to send a proposal for carrying the work out. On this way, the interested person could contact to the administration to be informed about the guideline from the architect before preparing the offer for the painting works. The starting date would probably be in September 2015. The option A was approved by majority.

What is the point of anyone being advised to get their property painted privately when the presidents are clearly in the process of trying to get the resort painted in full - at some point. Once this is agreed people will have to pay the quoted price regardless of whether or not they have painted themselves.

Personally I find ugly when a flat is painted, but the next door or above/below is not. You can clearly see the edges of the new and old paint on the building. If you walk around on the resort, you will see it... and then again, in some areas, is not even paint anymore, with the cement exposed. I guess eventually the resort will look good, when all is maintened equally.... hopefully... :D

Thanks for the comments . My Apartment (better terminology than flat) has got to a stage where we would like it painted. We are delighted with the person that has been recommended to us and will be proceeding with it mid this year. I'm not prepared to wait, 1, 2, 3 or 5 years for an agreement to be put in place for the resort to be fully painted.
