I understand that there have been signs put up around the pool area, prohibiting the use of ball and plastic inflatables. This is contrary to the rules that were circulated to all owners back in May.
I have to say, i'm not that happy about it. I can sort of understand the issue with balls, but not inflatables. What's the problam with people floating around on a lilo? My daughters can't swim yet and will be very dissapointed if they can't use their small lilo in the pool.
What does everybody else think?

Hi All
Has anyone heard any more re signs. As Eileen is there at the moment I'm sure she will have more information when she comes back. I think we need to find out the full facts first and go from there. It is good to know that there are more people that are in touch via e mail now.

Hello List,
I got this report from guests that were there in June. I've hidden his identity for now.
I can't see how the signs are binding as there hasn't been an official vote. Bad news for anyone who wants to rent out if his behaviour keeps up!
"During the last few days there was a bit of upset with the homeowners and some of the rules. A Spanish guy (owner) had come down from XXX for a few weeks. I think he is XXXXXXXXXXX – he was basically making a huge fuss over kids jumping in the pool, lilo’s, and balls being used in the pool. Towels left round the pool!! As most of the time the maximum people around the pool was 6, there wasn’t actually a problem, however he was making a big issue about it. Quite a few of the other home owners or representatives were at a meeting that was called, and they disagreed with what he was saying and that he was being over zealous. Since then a list of ‘pool rules and conduct’ has gone up around the pool. It was only this one particular resident who was being particular, so when he isn’t there there should be harmony, however wouldn’t like to coincide a visit with him again!"
After asking for more details :-
"Rules were
No diving – children no jumping
No lilo’s. balls or plastic toys
Shower before entering the pool
There was something about Homeowners taking responsibility for power going/ensuring rules were kept.
Rules for pets – not allowed.
Key holders were not allowed to give gate keys out other than to those living on the complex (eg for friends/family in the area to use the pool)
These were the main ones, although there might have been something about sunbathing tidily as he did ask me to clear up some towels that were around the side of the pool (not even mine!!! Just by me!!)
I did let XXXX know about them when they came to collect the keys, so he might be able to add to the list.
The meeting was called very quickly mainly because the woman XXXXXXXXXX was unhappy because the Spanish Guy had shouted at her son for playing football around the pool. He had also shouted at some other children for having a lilo in the pool – this was all with him being there for an hour (having jumped in the pool on his arrival – allegedly!) We were out when all this happened, so would have gone to the meeting on your behalf had we been there."
"I think that was the general feeling by all. One of the families who was renting an apartment, went mad at him and said that they had paid good money and would play in the pool as they wished within reason – don’t think he liked that much, but as she was XXXXXXX, don’t think he wanted a fight……."
Perhaps he needs reminding of the artists impression that we based our purchases on, what's that I can see in the pool?

Things seem to have been getting quite tense lately . Maybe its the heat over there. I guess a big problem is that we are never all around at the same time. However, we need to be working together for the good of all and it sounds like there's a lot of scope for improvement.
