Please could anyone advice me on how you went about getting a mortgage on your spanish property . We only need a small one but building societys in England dont want to know or havent got a clue we dont want to remorgage our property here , but really dont know where to get started.

Dare I suggest the blindly obvious, a Spanish house..A Spanish mortgage company.
Which might also depend on what your idea of a small mortgage might be?

There are also a lot of UK based mortgage brokers. I almost used Conti, they're based on the south coast, who found me an excellent deal a few years ago - I didn't actually use them but the experiece was very positive.
