Johnzx - Knights is the broker but who was your actual insurer? Wouldn't they have refunded it?
Campo I think you know me well enough to know that I would have made very determined effort, which I did, to get my 350 euros premium back.
The only reason I was with them (I had known they were an awful company when I had helped a friend who had full comp with them to recover damages, it was a struggle to get Knight's to get their finger out) was because the broker I was with closed down and had transferred all their business to Knight’s. The previous year I had recovered 4,000 euros for water damage to carpets from the other company and did not want to change companies in the following year in case they loaded the premium.
The following year I cancelled with Knight’s, that was when they took the premium but I did not notice until they tried to claim another renewal premium the next year. As I said I had a confirmation of the cancellation which they denied sending even when I took their email to their office.
