Rental Guarantee issues with Atlantia Mojon Hills

I have purchased two properties at Mojon Hills through Atlantia with a 5% retrospective rental guarantee. The rent is now due but it is proving difficult to get rental payment or contact Atlantia. Has anybody had the same experience?

Atlantia Mojon Hills (Rental issues)

Hi all,

Can anybody help me with some advice and information please?

I have purchased two properties from Atlantia at the beginning of 2010. As part of the arrangement the properties were to be handed back to Atlantia in return for a rental guarantee (5% of the property value) to be paid annually in arrears. The problem is now that the rent is due, there is none forthcoming and Atlantia are proving difficult to contact.

Has anybody had any similar experiences with Atlantia?

thanks

You should check the properties before you buy. You can check if it is in a good quality and a very nice place. It helps you to decide whether you will buy it or not.

The properties were checked out. Atlantia did not follow through with their commitments.

Last month, we reported on a plan by a group of rental guarantee companies to develop a blacklist of renters delinquent with payments. This would presumably help landlords screen potential tenants for scofflaws.

I have never been in Atlantia. But, I suggest that you should always be alert and observe the property. Thanks !

If you have kids and you need a new place to live in, it is wise to rent home first before trying to purchase one. You must face the fact that when you are new in a specific location you must give yourself a chance to adjust to the culture of the place especially if you are migrating to another state.

It would be better to check out the place first and try to be familiar with the places. Try to fit in, and feel the place. Also, look for near landmarks around your place like school, malls, food chains and the transportation.
