british spanish resident wants to marry and relocate non eu citizen girlfriend in spain

im a british eu citizen moving to spain to take up residence there. i want to bring my non eu citizen girlfriend to spain to marry her in a few months time. will she be able to stay in spain and claim residence with me once we are married?

i want to move my american girlfriend to spain to get married and live with me. im ok to take up residency in spain but will she be eligable for residency as soon as we are married and be able to stay as soon as we are married...??? any useful info would be greatly appreciated...

EU law says that such applications have to be dealt with in a timely manner, so, although it may take a few months for everything to clear, you'd definitely be able to work in less than a year. Assuming everything goes well, of course.

The most time will be needed for visas and and form filling i have a friend who brought his Russian partner to Spain to marry it was the time the offical paper work had taken to allow and get confermation and approval what we called the Spanish manana syndrome effect..it did take around 6 months for this to happen ..that was several years ago my advise would be to contact both the Spanish and USA embassy and get the proper information and time guidence..
