It was Steve's birthday on Tues 4th and it's mine today, 6th plus 3 friends in the tango group this week...so many Sagittarians, so many kind people, so much fun! We have been given a Kumquat in a pot, some delicious French toffees, had a phone call from Crete, emails from UK...and 5 friends came round last night for roast beef, Yorkshire pud, fine wine...we got to bed about 2.30 in the morning.

We'll probably spend the day down on the land and then make a long walk tomorrow. My medical outcome is good on the cancer front (final tumour still reducing) but the old bones have lost, or are losing, some of their density, so injected infusions of Zometa are on the cards as of next week. More spinach, more walking, more dancing...oh dear!!

David, how kind of you and I'm pleased that you enjoy the Blog. I am an optimist who has worked hard but had good fortune in my life, so I have nothing to be negative about. Steve has a heart of gold but serious negativity when it comes to politicians, the police, bad drivers, John Denver, poor-quality climbing gear and Hollyoaks...actually the list is very long!
You too have a great 2013 and, as we say, 'weigh everything!'

I'm heading towards 65 and enjoying life out here in Spain with my partner Steve and all our great friends here and in the UK. I have cancer and know a bit about the Spanish health system these days, but my motto is 'it'll get me one day but not yet!' We live simply, enjoy good company, the fabulous scenery and fresh air, our motorbikes and my special Andalusian mare Canela. Also the village cats! Home-baking has given way to growing vegetables, walking and riding, but we never know what else may crop up! And you can rent our s/c granero if you contact me direct.
