have helped a few members on the forum, and so you may want to check out the tv section (TELEMICRO GONE), but the only way to get a tv system that wont go off is by satellite, as if the shut down that signal 10million plus people in the uk would complain!!
freeview is for tv via your tv aerial on your roof -in spain it it called TDT - tdt.es - no UK TV channels are on TDT - just spanish.
freesat is a receiver that gets freetoair channels via satellite (astra at 28degrees)- freesat currently has about 80 channels.
a generic freetoair receiver pointing at astra 28degrees will get about 200 plus channels, the same as a sky receiver without any kind of sky card.
freetoair channel on satellite are free, and are totally legal to watch...there is no law stopping you receiveing and watching free satellite signals.

Are Presidents able to prevent larger satellite dishes springing up all over the place, I wonder.

yes we are on a community but we are all in the same boat NO TV so whats the problem as this may be a temporary solution til we get Telemicro back

I didn't say there WAS a problem ! I'm on a community myself & just wondered if Presidents are able to prevent larger satellite dishes springing up all over the place.

Perhaps presidents should be looking towards having a sat dish installed centrally & properties connected to it, same way as TM do now. Much neater surely.

I agree wed prefer that to our own dish but we cant wait forever so well do what we have to till they come back and maybe then wed get back to normal
