Legal tip 368. A suicide at our nearest Bank office
Thursday, October 14, 2010 @ 12:37 PM

I am writing this with my heart filled with sorrow and frustration but at the same time with renovated energies for our battle for Bank´s liabilities on the real estate bubble/ irresponsale over credit in Spain and the posterior crisis we are all still suffering, suffering and suffering these days.

This person has left a suicide note where he says that the Bank has taken away all he had : house, family... and life.

A new reason: the  lost life of this person, for us not to avoid any effort to protect individial people´s, person´s lifes and families against the voracity of these monsters.

Apologies if I sound too strong!

Maria

That is awful Maria. It just shows what pain some people are going through at the moment.

Yes, it is a symbol.
There are millions of people under these struggles due to an unfocused financial system.

Banks and Financial Authorities would need to review classical anthropology and remind about humanism.

My goodness! What a frustration! What a pain!

Yes, that is truly,truly awful.
These banks and others involved in the property business have stolen the peace of mind that honest, hard-working, law abiding retirees had saved and planned for during most of their working lives.
People who were responsible and should have been trusted to ensure; the rights of ordinary people, the safety of large amounts of their cash and therefore their financial and emotional well being, have spectacularly failed them.
It is as if they have conspired to systemically rob them of everything they own and hold dear, and in some very sad instances they have.
Maria no words are too strong. They ARE monsters.

Maria,
Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. It is truly a tragedy that should not be overlooked. Our hearts go out to the family.
Let us hope that all continuing efforts to correct these awful injustices will act as a lasting legacy, and thereby ensure that no-one else will ever have to bear witness to such a tragic outcome.

No one talks about that anymore. That´s life.
We are of course keeping our efforts for a more balanced and sensible financial system
Best wishes,
Maria

Sorry Maria but I do not understand:-

" No one talks about that anymore. That´s life"

What do you not talk about any more?
The tragic suicide or the corruption that exists/existed within the property business?

I can understand what that person must have felt. I too am mentally exhausted am despressed with anxieties stress and worries and have been on anti-depressants since March-2008 since I heard that I must fight tooth and nail to go through courts to get my deposit back. The bank and the builder could easily have spared us this stress of appearing and courts to settle this but alas have chosen to fight this. I now hope to God and the sensible Judge who will decide our case. Even then I am told that this can still drag on as there are appeals and counter appeals. I love Spain as I have always felt an Islamic ties to it! Alhamdolilah Hai Rabul Alameen!
