February 1 marks the end of hunting season when many Galgos meet a fate worse than the life of cruelty that they have already endured. Read about this here .. http://diadelgalgo.com
Galgos del Sol currently have around 100 Galgos, including puppies, in their care. Galgos are being found abandoned on an almost daily basis.
With so many sick & injured galgos in lately that need numerous trips to the vets and medical care GdS need help with this more than ever. It's very difficult to keep up with what Tina & her partner, Kyle, plus dedicated volunteers, are doing as they're so incredible busy. You only have to visit their Facebook page to see this!

GdS are also going to schools holding classes teaching youngsters about the Galgos. This is going to be on a weekly basis in the Murcia area.
GdS have two charity shops too. They always need goods (especially furniture) to sell in these.
They will accept anything - clothes, toys, furniture, books, DVDs, electricals, anything that is of decent quality to re-sell to help the Galgos at GDS and also other abandoned dogs. 50% of all profits will be donated to Los Unicos, a dog charity that helps all breeds.
