I know this is a blog to help galgos (& podencos) in Spain but many contact me for help in highlighting problems they are encountering & Fiona is one lady who has asked me to create a post for her & I am very happy to, of course. I hope these beautiful cats will be found good homes, they did NOT deserved to be dumped when their families moved on, how cruel.

5 CATS ARE DESPERATE FOR FOREVER HOMES
The cats in these photographs have been dumped by previous owners in a housing estate near La Linea, Gibraltar. I have been feeding them twice daily over for the last year. They are all adult cats: two ginger (one slightly older, possibly parent of other), two white and tabby and one black. All have been neutered. I’m sorry, but I am not sure of their genders.
All five cats come regularly for food. The smaller tabby and white loves being stroked, as does the younger ginger. The other three are more nervous but I am slowly gaining their trust.
MY HUGE CONCERN: I have heard that there is a plan to ‘round-up’ the stray cats around here and am trying to contact the people responsible, to let them know I am trying to find all these cats good homes. I am very reluctant to take these cats to rescue centres but will as a last resort. I would hate the thought of them being cooped-up in cages for weeks on end, when they are all used to roaming freely.
PLEASE HELP GIVE THESE CATS A SECOND CHANCE.
They all desperately need a caring person or family to love them. I would take them myself but have three dogs, including two greyhounds, who are not cat-friendly.
They would all really suit someone who would appreciate some company and someone who has with a patio or garden (they love sunbathing!).
