Goodbye Romeo, forever in our hearts

Romeo

We have had a horrible weekend. Last Friday our lovely cat Romeo was run over and killed on the road outside our house.

He was such a special cat, so friendly, loving and totally adorable. He was very playful and a very unique character...he even had fangs!

We are all missing him so very much. He was only with us for a year after we rescued him as a stray kitten at a chiringuito.

At least he was very loved by us all during his short life.

Romeo, we love you and we will never forget you. You brought such joy to our lives and you will forever be in our hearts.

Rest in peace. We love you.

So sorry about that Justin. I know how it feels when a much loved pet dies. Looking on the positive side, I dare say you can rest assured he had a better time in those 12 months than many cats get in a long and miserable life time. You did a really good thing rescuing him as a stray, be proud of that.

Sorry to hear your sad news Justin. I agree with everything Goodstich has said (is that a first?!). Pets become part of the family so quickly, don't they? Remember the good times you had with him and, just as important, the wonderful home you gave him over the last year and how happy you made him.

Thanks for the comments. He did have a great life with us, it's just such a shame it was taken away from him so quickly.
