Sports Bar in Los Alcazares
Thursday, July 23, 2009 @ 4:45 PM

Good afternoon to all

I thought I would let all you sports lovers in murcia know that there is a Sports Bar called De Juegos 525 in Los alcazares. Great to catch up on the latest scores and your favorite football team matches.

We're off to Roda for 3 weeks on Saturday, and it would be great to be able to catch some of The Ashes highlights. Is this the one in the square by all the restaurants, or a new one this year?

Thanks!

Yes it is the same bar down on the Marcadona Plaza. Its the only one I have come accross that is so obviously geared up for sports with lots of TV's. I will post if I find anything else.

wish I was going back to roda could do with a nice break are you owners or have you just rented for a holiday?

Thanks - I know the one. I think there's an Irish Bar next to Campbells in Roda village which shows sports as well.

We are buying (Phase4) and the holiday is a freebie from Calidona because of the delays in building. Very interested to see if all the threads are accurate or not!!

How long has your delay been our was about 6mths on phase II but I think phase IV was a long time. Well I hope you enjoy your freebe prob the only thing you will get from Roda!!

However I love it out there and lookforward to our visits. Have a great time and have a beer for me!

my delay on phase 4 so far is in excess of 2 years , is it worth waiting for ? judging by posts on roda forum probably not as soon as we complete we will be looking at the unit being worth approx 107000 euros less than we paid if the current resale prices are anything to go by .

I know what you mean you finally invest in a property in spain and the market goes pop. If you dont have to sell and are using it for private use a few times a year it does not really effect you only mentally. But if it was for an investment it is pretty depressing.

We sort of bought for both we go out to roda 5 times a year and love the break. Thing are behind and the hotel ect not there, but it is still a great place and I hope one day will be the resort it should have been.

the beach club is great and the club house 1st class. You may have waited a long time but I hope you do get something out of it. I know we do

heather
thanks for the comment , we bought the apartment for personal use rarther than investment however we were told there would be a commercial center , hotel with gym and health spa all of which added up to a nice package however these facalaties do not exist and i cannot get a responce from calidona as to wheather or not they will ever exist and as such makes me very wary of completing with values predicted to keep on falling untill around 2013 lack of facalaties , you only have to go out of the entrance at roda to realise that it is not a premium area yet you are expected to pay premium prices on roda which would be acceptable if they had delivered the product they sold imo they have fallen way short add to that the deteriaration of standards on roda (according to forum)and there is not a lot enticing me to complete .

Hi Yes I fully understand can you pull out still then?? I presume you would loose your 40% deposit?? I would seek help from a solisitor to see where you stand. I know if I could get the money back I would. And invest later but I guess it is not there fault re the market but totally agree it is appaling that they have not done all the things promised and whats more expect us to be happy with a few tennis courts instead!! Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

totally agree definatly not calidonas fault re the market , the rest of ithe issues ie: delays , lack of facalaties , the apparent lies told at point of sale private and exclusive beach club !! etc are a different matter .
with all due respect to current owners especially those who have completed recently it amazes me how people will pay so much and settle for so little in return .

just had our fourth trip to los alcazares. we've always liked the sports bar, but have found that their standards have slipped recently. poor service, outside area (carpet is always dirty and covered in crumbs) and tables left with dirty glasses. the girls serving are more interested in using their mobile phones and disappearing from the bar area. had to ask for our bill 3 times and actually thought about just walking out - don't think they'd have even noticed and we didn't go back there for the rest of our holiday. such a shame because there is always a good atmosphere, but overheard plenty of moans about the service or should i say lack of it. back again in july and no doubt we'll give it another go to see if things have improved.
