The Portuguese star is expected to be ready for the start of the Primera Division campaign...
Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has told AS that Cristiano Ronaldo has not fully adapted to playing for Real Madrid but he isn't far off.
"In pre-season there has been a lot of hard work and Cristiano has had to cope with many changes - a new country, a new league - and that takes time to adapt. I think he'll be in good form for the start of La Liga," said the Chilean.
On the whole the gaffer has been impressed with his team in pre-season and feels things have taken shape the way he would like.
"The team has done well in pre-season and we will have many options to make a first eleven. We will look to have possession, create chances and win, that is what fans want to see," he remarked.
The former Villarreal coach is also refusing to set any long-term objectives for his new-look Madrid side, claiming that three points in the season opener away to Deportivo La Coruna is the objective for now.
"Setting a long-term goal would be unwise. We need to start with three points against Depor and show week by week that we are prepared," added Pellegrini.
