Riviera del sol is very overbuilt, lots of English people, most of the newer apartments are up the hill, and there are hundreds of them. For this area a car is needed. There are shops and bars.The older properties are within walking distance of the main road. Miraflores is quite nice.

I agree, you defintely need a car, the bus that runs between Marbella and Fuengirola only runs along the A7 road and should come every 30 mins, but it is not very reliable, and it stops running at about 10:30pm 11pm ish so no good for a night out. Also taxis are NOT cheap.

ah thank you, so basically if i would be needing the public transport daily i would be best nearer the main road as apose to the newer apartments. thank you both :o)
