If i get one more bloody phone call !!! grrrr

Hi we are Carol, Alex and Mark Caldwell from Inverness and we have moved into 12 Calle Visconde de Ros, Torre Alcantara.  We have a semi-detached overlooking the railway which we are told is going to be disguised with an embankment, a wall and trees.  Again, as with Don and Martha we were a bit mislead about the number of trains that use the line but we have also been told that there is a new high speed rail link being built which will be away from the house but we´re not sure when.  We had a few snagging problems on moving in also but they are getting round to fixing things.  One of the most annoying being cigarette scorch burns on the downstairs toilet basin but, again, because we are living on site and they are still building roundabout us it´s fairly easy getting a hold of help.  the community tv aerial is in and we have had satellite tv put in.  Very quick and easily done with no wiring in the livingroom, unlike at home.  I would say we´re quite settled in now.  As Don said there is still no street lighting on yet but we were told it would be November.  Of course, they never said which November....................Anyway I think that´s probably enough for now.  Anyone buying flat packs from Ikea - my son is a dab hand at putting them together so if he can help anyone out just call him (00 34 686687758).  I spoke to Don yesterday and he was a bit miffed that he had to do all his own stuff as it took up so much time so Mark is ready and willing.  He is 21 and can turn his hand to quite a few things.  My husband is coaching with Charlton Football club here and I am trying to get started in the property management line.  So again, if i can help anyone out, please do not hesitate to call.  I believe there are quite a few people going to be here for Christmas and New year so hopefully a good time will be had by all.

glad to here you have settled in and are looking forward to xmas in spain  are you living there on a permanent basis?  we have bought no 28 which is not due to be ready until august 2007 although hvae seen photos provided by friendly future neighbours on this site. t here seems to be a good friendly atmosphere around. we are coming out in january for a long week end and i will make a point of trying to meet some of the residents for a glass of vino blanco de la casa!!

we are coming out for a long weekend on Friday 26th January 2007 until Monday 29th january 2007.

we are staying in a hotel in Pilar de La Horadada look forward to meeting up with you  we have arranged to contact a few others as well so perhaps we can all meet in balsicas?

Hi, We are Jan & Paul and are buying Plot 108 (not sure yet of house number).  We are looking forward to completion and will not be over until Sept (unfortunately!) 

We will be letting our property and are interested if you are doing property management.  If so we will definately need to talk more.

Some info about us is that we live in Poole in Dorset and are looking forward to barby's with rioja (both red and rosado) with our new neighbours.  We will not be permanant for approx another 3 years.

Luckily we know a bit about the area as we have friends in Mazarron so know our way around.  Still looking for good furniture shops though.  Have found a couple of places near Los Alcazares and of course the dreaded Ikea!
