We bought at the end of August in Jardin 5, just wondering if there was anyone else using eyeonspain who had bought here also, to share experiences over the next couple of years!
Due to complete in 2009!

Hi,
I was out last weekend looking at Santa Ana in Jumila, but decided that this resort is to far in land. I went out with Direct2Spain who have been very good and wanted to show me this development, They also took me to Polaris World @La Torre and I was very impressed by the finishes and layout, as I was by myself I decided to wait until I got home and discussed all with my better half, wished I reserved one while I was there as they are very limited now for the 1st floor apartments. I am now trying to get a 1st floor apartment at Condado but don't really want gardens 1 & 12 as these seem a bit far away from the centre. Hopefully I'll get some news this week and I am going back out there in a few weeks with Dawn (wifey) to show her the development. as she seems very impressed with everything so far.

Thanks for your posting. Must admit since we took the decision to buy we have had no regrets what so ever. We had a good choice of apartments at the end of August, and it seemed the same for availability upstairs (2 bed) and downstairs (3 bed).
They have also now released some 2 bedroomed villas which look nice but more expensive and not sure how far it would be to a pool, there is also the additional upkeep of the garden to think about.
For your info we travelled to the beach having visited the site, Mazeron is about 15mins away. We didn't have time to look around properly, but from what I have researched on the web it seems to have a marina and a promenade, and no doubt with the Polaris World development nearby it will only get better!

After a frustrating start to the week where we were told all the 2 bed apartments had gone over the weekend we have now secured a 1st floor 2 bed apartment in Jardin 4. Would like to hear from others in and around this area for their experiences so far or their future plans and their plans for the apartments

Hi. After visiting the Condado de Alhama site and looking around the Torres project, my partner and I have just signed up for ground floor and first floor apartments in Jardines de Alhama. My only reservation is whether to go ahead with my investment there (a first floor apartment) or buy an Eagle on the GrupoMasa Sierra Golf project a couple of kilometers away. If anyone has visited both sites, and has had similar nagging questions, I'd really appreciate your comments. On a another point, we have been told that the apartments will be ready to hand over in the Q4 of 2008, just a week after they told Lindsey 2009! Cheers.

Hi Lyndsey,
Just to let you know, they have now released 2 more bloques of Jardines on Condado (on the other side of the golf course near the clubhouse) and so some availability is back - prices from 120,000 euro although the better ones from 124,500 for 1st floors. Also they have just released penthouse style apartments frontline golf from 138,000. These are fantastic and will not last long. This style was only available before on Terraces de la Torre. Get in quick - PM me for details of an agent that gives cashback! I bought previously but wish I had the chance to buy now a new style one!
Good luck
Jamie

After a trip out to Murcia in oct my husband and I are in the process of buying 1st floor apartment at Alhama. There seems to be some problems regarding the start date of this project and therefore the date of completion. It seems that the building licence has not yet been issued and so building cannot begin.
Has anyone else come across any problems?
Kazzy

Hi there, I spoke to my agent - John at "Veritas Homes" in Mojacar and they spoke to their contacts in Polaris management yesterday regarding this as am concerned about any "no license" rumours.
It is true that the final license is not physically in the hands of Polaris BUT it has been approved and posted in the local town hall. It now cannot be withdrawn and is due to become stamped in the next few days.
The first works at the site should happen at end of Feb or very beginning of March and first completions will still be for end of 2008. They have all the works from La Torre and El Valle turning up in March and it should become the largest building site in the area very soon.
I still have no doubts (despite a slight panic when I read your last post) - and am glad I bought here. My agent seems to have a great relationship with them and until I hear different am happy to recommend them. If you want to speak to him P.M. me and I'll pass on his contact details.

Hi - we bought two apartments (ground and first floor) in Jardine 10 around Oct 06. Really looking forward to seeing things develop and eventually getting out there. What are everyone's plans - buying to rent / buying to holiday etc? If anyone is heading out there in 2007 it would good to be kept up to date with knowledge / photos etc.

We visited Spain in September 2006 with Parador Properties who I agree were excellent. We bought two first floor apartments in Jardin 11 with a view to renting out but also to use for some of our own holidays/long weekends etc. The anticipated completion date at that time we were told would be the second half of 2008. Friends who have an apartment in Torrevieja have visited the site recently on their travels and have informed us that there is no sign of activity yet - they have also visited the Parador Properties office in Torrevieja to enquire as to progress and were told that work would start on the site towards the end of February/early March. They are due home within the next couple of days so may have more news then. We are due to go to Spain ourselves again in August and hope to see some progress - will update when we know anything more.

Hi All,
New to forum, my wife and I went out in November, looked around a couple of areas decided on Jardines de Alhama, bought a 3 bedder in gardens 8, very near to pool.
We stayed at the Polaris world hotel, "Intercontinental", went with an affiliated company to Polaris "polarisgolfpropertyuk", fantastic 3 days, no pressure, showed us non poraris developments and was very open and honest. If all of Polaris is like the hotel and the other Polaris facilities we saw I think we have got a bargin.
Glad to hear ground has been broken, and eager to have it built.
If anyone goes out photos of the site would be nice.

Just to confirm for you that earth is being moved. We were there last week. Have also bought in Jardines 07. Still not much to see but definite work started. From viewing at the site office many properties have already been sold and we did a fair bit of estimating which would be the best garden to buy in so have fingers crossed on the decision. Wasn't as keen on the front line penthouses as they will have communal roof terraces and will be some distance from Oasis but time will tell.
