Hi,
We are going to Garrucha on the 19th and will report back after we return on the 22nd. Our solictor has informed us that the builder should be requesting a payment by the end of the month - so lets hope!! Going to try to talk to Mar y Casas directly for estimated completion date.

Hi
Why would the builder be requesting a payment from us when he hasn't started let alone completed. Our agent advises that the build will be complete June/July 2008 that is when he should request a payment.

Hi
To date we have only paid holding deposit of one thousand euros, and should pay the first stage payment when the build begins. Thankfully money has been in our bank and not theirs for almost two years! It is possible that we don't all have the same terms for payment.

Hi,
We have just returned from Garrucha and went to see the builder yesterday. As we know he has the licence but is still waiting for the go-ahead from the Mayor to resume work. He has not been granted planning permission for the other two blocks he hoped to build on either side of ours and has now sold that land. He assures us that he should have the document needed from the Mayor within the next week or so and estimates completion September next year. We have also been given the name and email address of a contact in the builders office, so if anyone would like this info I will post it.

My agent has confirmed today that there is still only a hole in the ground ,no foundations. MY lawyer is also looking into situation so if I hear anything I will let you know

Hello everyone, we received an email yesterday from our agents they went to the site to take photographs to forward on to us but nothing had started so they they got in touch with the builder and was told any day now, they will inform us when the project starts, sounds like we are all hearing the same!! keeping our fingers crossed. Nosotros tambien somos españoles. Compramos un apartamento en junio del 2005 y las obras iban a empezar el julio o agosto. La promotora Verca 2000 ha sido informal. Nunca han dado ninguna explicacion de los retrasos. Enviamos faxes, burofaxes, email y todo lo que estaba en nuestra mano pero ellos no nos llamaron ni una vez ni enviaron ninguna carta ni se pusieron en contacto con nosotros de ninguna forma. Son unos sinverguenzas. Por fin, a mediados de Abril conseguimos cancelar el contrato y que nos devolvieran exactamente lo que entregamos hace dos años, en total fueron 38.520 €.
Para ser sincero, creo que esta promocion es un engaño y un timo, y aconsejo a los propietarios que pongan una queja o una reclamacion en comun para reclamar daños y prejuicios y les aprieten las tuercas a la promotora. A uno solo no le hacen ni puto caso.
Os deseamos suerte a los que aun teneis una propiedad ahi. Nosotros preferimos no ganar nada, incluso perder los intereses del prestamo que tuvimos que pedir, pero ahora tenemos nuestro dinero y despues de ver las ultimas noticias me alegro de no haber seguido con esos chorizos.

We also are Spanish. We bought an apartment in June of the 2005 and the works were going to begin July or August. The promoter Verca 2000 has been informal. They have never given no explanation of the delays. We sent faxes, burofaxes, email and everything what was in our hand but they to not called us once neither nor sent no letter nor was put in contact with us of no form. They are sinverguenzas. Finally, in the middle of April we obtained to cancel contract and that they gave back what we gave to us exactly two years ago, altogether were 38,520.
To be sincere, I believe that this promotion is a deceit and a thymus, and advise to the proprietors that put a complaint or a claim in common to demand damages and prejudices and tighten the nuts to them to the promoter. To one single one they do not do nor puto to him case.
We wished luck you to all which have a property there. We preferred not to gain anything, to even lose the interests of prestamo that we had to request, but now have our money and despues to see you complete the news I am glad of not to have followed with those garlic sausages.

Hi Everyone, Just received an email from our agents, the build has restarted and Verca2000 has said they expect no more hold ups {apart from siesta} ha ha  They also said the Bankers Guarantee will be renewed later in the year when the one they hold at the moment runs out. Can we beleive this? hope so, Regards, Daphebba.

Well hello all,
As you can see i am new to this site, and i have been waiting for answers for the last 3 years. I bought No 29 La Atalaya for a holiday home in july 2004, and have been given three complesion dates so far, without any real explanation from the builder. As you all no builders are always busy, because i was offered to change from this contract last year to another in Polimaris, which is up the road from garrucha, only to find out that this complex had been completed by the same builder of la Atalaya. Well i have stay with the La Atalaya site, and i do hope it will be ready in 16 months time. The later information i have just recieved from Medsea estates Aftersales Inspections co-ordinator by the name of Jean Pagano, on the 28th June 2007. The blame i hold at this time is not with the builder, but with Meadsea Estates for the information they gave in the first place. i do feel a bit bitter about this having put down £52000, British Pounds three years ago without getting any intrest on this money. So common all lets put the pressure on.
