Good Beaches

Can anyone recommend a really good beach within reasonable distrance to La Torre

Tried Los Alcazares when over there in August but was far too busy - prefer somewhere more peaceful not bothered about facilities just a good beach

Just back from holiday in the Mar Menor area.  Found a fabulous beach at Calblanque Regional Park.  Beautiful quiet sandy beach and the water was crystal clear.  We accessed it from Los Belones.  There is a tourist information office near the beach.  Dirt track access roads though.

Every where is busy in August...its the busiest month of all with Spanish holidays...outside August its far less busy...

I agree all beaches are busy in August.  Beautiful beach at El Mojon just outside San Pedro del Pinatar.  Further afield you might want to head for Cabo de Palas nr. La Manga one side is lovely harbour with great restaurants (very old Spain) on the other side of the point lovely sheltered sandy beach.  You might want to try Torre de la Horadad lovely blue flag beach.  All of these are easily accessible via the AP7(non toll section) or N332 maps available on Mapquest..
