Dear All
I have been reading everyone's entries with interest and sympathise with concerns over ensuites, radiation, etc. However, I thought I would add a positive message to cheer up existing and prospective buyers. We completed on our property on 20th October and have nothing but praise for the builders and for the standard of the complex generally. This was our first purchase aboard and although we were nervous about the whole process, everything went smoothly. We had a few, relatively minor items on our snagging list - grouting, bathroom door lock, etc, but all were put right straight away. We were the only family on the complex for the week which meant we had the pool to ourselves, even though the water was cold! We are planning to return to our apartment for Christmas and wonder if any one else will be there to join us for a celebratory drink in our new holiday home.

I am so happy for you! Glad you like it and we are looking forward to joining you but not until next year. We are waiting for a new paint job, our sun terrace to be re-laid levelly and a first habitation certificate, which the Aride have indicated should be completed by Feb/March 2007 - their choice of date not ours, so I hope you aren't lonely for too long.
Really nice to hear that you are enjoying it. Our children are keen to come over and we will definitely be out in Feb 1/2 term regardless of completion.

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone
Just thought I'd let you all know we spent 16 days at our apartment over the Christmas period. We had loads of sunshine and a really lovely holiday. The Builders were still on site pottering around but most apartments now look to be complete. Finishing touches were being made to gardens (laying of gravel stones). The men are working hard to keep the complex looking beautiful but the dirty walls still spoil the overall appearance. Also, despite many attempts the underground parking garage door isn't working properly and, be warned, the car park is extremely tight!
The builders told us that a nameplate and numbers to apartments have been ordered and will be put up in the third week in January. Painting of the whole complex is planned for February. It would be useful if someone could update us if this is done or not, should they visit the area. Our next visit is Easter and it would be nice if everything is sorted so we can have some neighbours next time!

Really appreciate your update, Sarah D. We guessed the parking would be only suitable for tinsy cars, but the trastero is useful and the parking place would also be good for locking up bikes etc.
We are going out for the Feb school hols, so will let you know how it looks. I am sure you will have some neighbours for Easter, and maybe we will be able to meet up with you then, Saludos Karen

Re habitation certificate. We had been told it would be issued in Jan. Now this has changed to 'we do not know when'. Has anybody been told a date? What are your comments? This message was last edited by 1600E on 1/23/2007.

Dear All
We have just spent a wonderful week in our apartment for the February half term ( Karen-sorry we missed you).
The habitacion certificate has still not come through but we have been using the builders electricity and water since October, free of charge. We are not concerned by this as we are not planning to sell in the near future. However, the walls are looking browner than ever.
From walking around the complex there appear to be six apartments that have been completed and occupied, one of which has permanant residents. The builder says there are a further six apartments about to complete.
A word of warning to anyone that has already signed and received their keys -
The builders have changed all the locks and keys to the side gates and garage doors. We arrived at midnight on Saturday only to find that we couldn't get in! We had to climb over a wall to gain access (so much for security) and then prop the garage door open to leave and access the complex during Sunday, until the builders office was open again on the Monday. Looking back this now seems funny but at the time it was a nightmare. We are planning on renting the apartment out and it could have been very embarrasing, not to mention costly if visitors had been unable to get in, particularly as there is no name on the complex or the road - people would have thought they had the wrong complex. The new system is better as there is now only one key to access all the side gates and garage doors - but make sure you ask for this ahead of a visit, particularly if arriving on the weekend.

Yes, Sarah, that ties in with what we were told about their being only 12 properties completed. The pool and surrounds look lovely. I was surprised there was no sign indicating the name of the site - I wonder why? Perhaps that is tied up with the certification . . .
