Hi
The summer before last I drove to the Sierra Nevada, specifically Trevelez for a walking holiday. It took about 7 hours but at least 3 of that was on the very narrow and steep roads once you have left the motorway. We took a direct route and turned off the motorway before reaching Almeria going past the cowboy/indian film set in the desert. Comming back we headed straight for the motorwy comming from Granada and then followed the motorway all the way back. This was a much easier drive and quicker, about 5 hours. This was in a small Chev, not a very powerful car. Walking was not a success as in summer it was still 40 degrees at 3000m!! I can PM you the exact route if I look at a map again? Hope all is well in Hurchillo, we will be back out at Easter.
