La Isla des Condado

Does anyone have any information or photos of the La Isla development on the Condado  de Alhama?  We are purchasing on Block 10, which we were told would not be ready until the end of 2009. We believe that blocks 1 & 2 will be ready by the end of March which will be 6 months early.  Would appreciate any info plus any guidance on what is involved on the completion and should we be concerned re the habitation license?  We made our first payment in August 2007 and received the guarantees for this in October 2008!!! Made our second payment in Nov 08 and we have just received the guarantees for this.  Thank you for any help you can give.

Welcome to the forum Irene and Gordon.  You will find all the info you are looking for plus up-to-date photo's by simply looking through the various previous threads.  I think you are right to assume that the first phase is almost ready to be handed over and if you check out the 'to complete or not to complete....' thread from a week or so ago you will see the differing opinions on habitation certs.  To see photo's, just click on the link above.  Also you can ask anyone who may be heading over soon if they would mind taking a few snaps of La Isla for you and they will post them onto the forum when they return.  Normally, most questions get a sensible response (unless you get 'Shampers' in a mischievous mood - goodness knows what tangents you may go off on then)!!!  But all-in-all I think most of us have been delighted to have the information gleaned from the site over the past couple of years.  Best wishes with you new home and I haop all goes well with the completion.  Arlene

We have bought on block 3 la isla and were last told completion may/june.

Well done getting your second gaurantee we have been trying for 5 months now and no luck.

Have you looked at the photos on fotothis.com there are some up to date photos of the island.

I am going over in feb for a few days and will try to get some more info then.

We've bought on La Isla too, in Block 7. 

When we originally signed up in May 2007 we were told early-mid 2009 and they have stuck with exactly that since.  I called them a couple of weeks back asking for an update and they are still saying anytime from March to June as they say they don't know which order they're doing the blocks in.

To be honest, if they said towards the end of the year that would be fine by me so as we could get a holiday sorted out and hopefully give it a bit more time for the Euro to collapse..!!

Thank you for responding to our plea for information.  We are so pleased to hear from other purchasers on the La Isla des Condado.  We are very new to posting/reading messages on the site and we are not 100% sure of our way round this site yet.  (Practise makes perfect).  Patrick, we would appreciate knowing when Block 10 is planned to be complete, if you could ask the question if you get the opportunity.  Will look forward to seeing your fotos, have a good trip.

When i was out in January, they had just started to dig the moat. Customer services advised that the toll bridge will not go in until all properties are completed so they'll be operating a kind of car ferry meantime.
