Car hire extortionate this summer

Hi all,

Does anyone have any website addresses for car hire firms??

After looking at carjet, who we usually use, their rates are extortionate for summer so Im wondering if anybody can suggest alternatives please,

We used to use 'Record' who always have been good value, but for this Easter have used the Car Trawler comparison  promoted on this site and found Econorent, much cheaper.

Thanks to you all for your replies.

Since I wrote in I've been trawling all sorts of suggested sites but have found the cheapest are now carjet.com again as they are doing a new Basics package.

This meant I've got my 31 day hire down to £413 from initial quotes of £570 plus...

Bargain I'm hoping!!

this basic offer only applies to bookings that are returned back to alicante airport if it is there they were picked up.it was 40 euro cheaper than what i have to pay as i wish to return car to torrevieja rather than alicante.

 1 have booked a car for 1st week and one for last week picking up in torrevieja and dropping back to alicante. carjet is costing me 320 euro for these two hirings.

if anyone can point me in direction of cheaper i would be thankful.i have tried the ones already posted.

We know of a car hire company called www.sunseeekerscarhire.com , they prices are reasonable.

They use reputable car suppliers all over Spain, Italy & Portugal.
