Thanks for the replies,

It sounds brilliant. It must be great to be able to hold such events without them being ruined by the weather or the drunken yobs that we seem to have. I am sure that plenty of drinking goes on in Spain , but they seem to be able to enjoy it more. Will you be there with your Grandaughter Chris? I haven,t been to Spain at the height of the summer , it,s usually early or later on in the year, but I,ve heard so much about the Fiesta that I thought I would brave the temperatures!

I go out next on the 21st March with a couple of friends and then in April with my Mum, she came over last year and loved  it. All our family and friends that have been over do, we thought that it might be too quiet for some of them but they are all very impressed with the town.

                                    Best Wishes Gill.

Hiya Chris, Your Grandaughter is a little  too young to join in the Fiesta, but I am sure she will in the years to come. I will be out until Wednesday 28th so I look forward to meeting you.  Gill.

Hi Chris, Yes we did have Sky fitted, but we didn,t use the firm that Michele (show house) was promoting. We were recomended somebody by the lads in the Bull, his name is Chris,(details are at the apartment) he did a good job ,went all through the wiring boards at the Luz, and he gave us a fair price. When you are next in Spain pop in the Bull and they will give you his number. He works for Superbeam.

Yes the Bar sounds good, the more the merrier! Temperatures in Spain at moment are high 60,s lets hope it continues.

                        Best Wishes Gill.

Just back after a week at Luz de Almoradi.

For anyone whose interested Phase 3 is coming on really well. Lots of activities and noises all day from 8.00 a.m - 8.00 p.m. with only a short siesta in afternoon. (not the usual 2 hours). I reckon they are well on target.

They are doing the concrete base of the first floor level.

The weather for the week was really nice. 20-22 degs. Not bad for February!!

Ann

Hi Art, Great news !! gald someone will be there, we are arriving on the 4th till the 11th so plenty of time to catch up with you. We are minus oldies this time too!! but my mum and dad would love to come out their in their seventies, maybe summer. Looking forward to seeing if there are any f"iestas" on for Easter as we know they love to celebrate things. Have you had a letter about the meeting yet? We received a letter in Spanish which we are trying to decipher, we think it is about the teneants meeting but couldn't understand why they would write it in Spanish.

Look forward to seeing you in April

Dear Carol & Bill, Easter in Almoradi sounds lovely, I should imagine there will be lots going on as Easter is the main religious festival on the calender, you can some photos of it on the Almoradi web-site. I haven,t heard anything about the meeting but from what I,ve been told everyone has to be informed before one can be held.

Dear  Ann, Phase 3 is certainly going up quickly ,perhaps it will hit it,s completion date! Did you hear anything about the meeting while you were there?

                                      Best Wishes Gill.

Hi Gill

Yes, the meeting is on 23.2.2007 at 8.00 p.m. We spoke to Art (I think that's his name) the Dutchman when we were there. He offered to take us to the administrator's office, where we  gave bank details for forthcoming community charges which he reckons will be approx 300 euros a year - if the meeting goes as planned.

I don't think that is too bad!!!

Ann

Hi Ann, thanks for the reply .Don,t you have to be there to vote or something? They haven,t got my bank details, I wonder what happens about that? If it works out at 300 Euros or so that will be great, cheaper than the caravan in Porthmadog!

         Best Wishes Gill .

Hi, well IS there ANYONE out there????

It's very quiet on this forum, just wanting to know if anyone will be out in Spain in May.  I will be renting on phase 1 from 13th May to 24th May doing my mid-term visit for phase 3, my NIE and going to see my lawyer etc. etc...

So if anyone's going to be there at that time maybe we'll bump into one another and we could have a coffee or a drink.

Sharon and David

Hi Sharon & David,    Sorry that no-one has replied to you.  Its like the Marie Celeste isn,t it!  I have just got back home so I won,t be out when you are. I think you,ll be surprized when you see your Building ,it,s going up very quickly, they are busy on it all the time (even the morning of bank holiday May 1 ) The weather was just starting to improve , it has been very wet this Spring.  Nicola and Chris at the shop are very helpful and will give you lots of info , if you need it. Try "Que Pasa", over the square, along the walkway on your right , for the menu del dia at 8 Euros a head ,great value. Also, Cafe Cariad for a lovely evening meal , a bit pricier but worth it.(Italian chef) ,thats around the corner from San Remo about  1 minute walk and on your left. Of course if you don,t want to go too far you can call at The Bull or the Red Dragon on Calle Mayor on your way up to Square, to quench your thirst,There are plenty to choose from! Have a lovely time exploring, make sure you go into Guardamar  ,soak up the atmosphere  in the beach restaurants and then go for a lovely Chinese (very cheap)Best Wishes  Gill.
