We have purchased a 1 bed in block 9 which we want to convert to a 2 bed. If anyone has details of costs ect, can you let me know.

Also, we have been told that it should be ready for April 07 !! what do you thing ??.

We are in Block 10 and are hoping to complete this month - fingers crossed. MRI's aftersales have quoted 3 options however I am told the work cannot start untill the property is handed over and therefore they will not commit to when the work can begin or how long it will take.

Option A: Conversion to include aluminium patio doors with blinds and mosquito nets with access to the terrace. To include the installation of plug sockets, light switches and a wooden door allowing access the apartment. Cost: 4,953.00 Euros

Hi everyone

We are buying in Block 4 but are having a hard job getting info out of MRI - but you seem to have succeeded !! (who are you dealing with at MRI aftersales?) Has anyone actually done a bedroom conversion - whats your opinion

AND have you actually got air conditioning fitted and are they heat pumps?

We priced furiture at IKEA at 1/2 price for same type quamntiy (but perhaps not same quality) as MRI but are trying to find best way of ordering & getting delivery - any thoughts anyone

We also want to rent room from 1 - 3 Nov when we come over if anyone knows anyone?

Hi there,  we have bought in block 9, first floor.  We have also been advised by MRI April 2007 for completion.  We intend to convert to a two bedroomed so thank you for the input on prices.   We are presently in Mazarron but will be visiting Alta Entinas briefly week commencing 30th October, so will update you on our return.

Just come across this.

We too have bought in block 9. A bit disappointed that things are taking so long, but do agree that Proindal have lots on. We were out last May & stayed at the Sol Almerimar apartments, our room was oposite the Porto Fino development which was a hive of activity from 07:00hrs-19:00hrs. The alarm bells did start to ring as there seemed to be little or no input at Alta.

Is anyone else experiencing lack of comunication? We bought through MRI & thought things were on track for April 2007. I happened to e-mail them late December as I was looking to book flights etc, you can imagine my frustration . When I read the second quarter of 2008.

About 20 e-mails later. MRI assure me that by the end of 2007 we should be able to move in! Cold comfort as it was the end of 2006.

Has anyone else made plans?

Today I have had an e-mail from the solicitor asking for details that they will require to sign the deed?

I'mm does this mean we're on track again?!!!!

I'd love to hear if anyone has heard anything.

We two have baught into block 9 Alta Entinas, MRI has also told us that it wouldn't be completed until the end of 2007 which is very disappointing..but i solicitor out there is looking for our passport and bank details,but we still have no idea where we are with it being finished on time or at the end of the year.. has anyone heard any more on it could ya please let us know... dave

Just heard today -delay until summer whatever that means. I figure end of April plus 12 weeks grace-maybe July.......?

This is why they need the details so everything is in place. Hopefully.........?

I have an apiontment with Proindal in March to revue the completion situation.

I will keep you posted.

Proindal have confirmed to me that the completion will be late 2007 / jan 2008.

The latest I have from MRI is that Blocks 10 and 3 are now complete. Block 9 is progressing well and has all the structures in place. Underground garage is complete, the communal areas are all complete and being looked after.

Proindal have advised Block 9 second quarter 2008, Block 6 mid 2008, Blocks 10,11, 3 and 4 are complete.

I am out in Almerimar at the end of the month as I have an apartment in Block 10 which is due to be handed over as the 'extra' work has been completed. I will endeavour to get a further update and of course take some photographs while I am out there.

We received the same email update from MRI regarding completion dates etc.  So Block 9 due for completion April/May/June of 2008.   A young lady called Johanna Mooney is the co-ordinator now and appears to be more forthcoming with information.

We had also been asked for bank details etc from the solicitors,  Martínez Echevarría, Perez y Ferrero Abogados,   who appear to be completely in the dark as to the delay incompletion!  I have asked MRI to contact them and advise accordingly.

I have purchased in block 10 right next to block 9, our apartment was 10 months late we have just spent 3 weeks at Alta Entinas. Block 9 structure is up and plenty of activity but looking at the way  they work I'd place a bet on it being late. I have loads of pictures of the development if anyone want's them.
