My agent has just told me he can offer a 5% cashback on these apartments (the previous best I found was 1%). There is a time limit of end of Feb to reserve them and the best plots are going fast but these apartments start from 118,500 euro and with the discount go down to about 112,500 euro for a 2 bed front line golf!!!

I have reserved one and am going to look at it this weekend - will report on my findings. They look ugly but great value! But this site is very good as close to sea, airport and other finshed developments. Fingers crossed!

Does anyone know when they are due to start to build at Terrazzas DLT?

I went to Terrazes DLT and inspected the plans for the deal Terraces apartments - they are not the most attractive it has to be said! They are a bit blocky and have quite small covered terraces, but they do have larger floor plans than the other cheaper stuff Polaris sell. I did reserve one, mainly because of the 5 % cashback, but cancelled on my return as I think the other style of properties, the penthouses, are better looking and asctually cheaper. I did ask if the cashback could be moved to the Penthouses but a definite NO. I think the Terrazes style apartments are not selling well, hence the discount is available. The max cashback on other properties seems to be one or two percent. Am still very happy with my purchases on Polaris but don't think the Terraces are a great buy although the project itself is very good and the location is great.

I was told that building will start by end Feb or early March at the latest, and the machinery is being pulled off of La Torre as we speak.

Have purchased one already but at 5% discount may consider another, which agent did you use?

Hi Marke,

The agent I have used for a while  and he hasn't let me down yet is - John at Veritas Homes in Almeria. His email is john@veritashomes.co.uk and number is 0034 950 47 24 30. They are very good and he paid me cashback on time without prompting.

Good luck

Jamie

Good to hear that they may finally start building at Terrazas!  I think the comments about the look of the apartments is a personal thing.  I thought the United Golf resort at La Tercia was really ugly but they are selling very well.  I agree the back of Terrazas is not very attractive but I really like the design of the terraces.  We have bought one with a double size terrace half of which is covered.  Personally I am still really pleased that we have bought on this site.  It will have a very attractive open aspect unlike some of the other resorts.  The close proximity of La Torre is another bonus.  I feel that once construction is under way the apartments will start selling faster.  Not many people are keen to buy off plan let alone buy something where they haven't cleared the ground yet.  I wish we could afford to buy another one!

Our apartment is on phase 1 at Terrazas, a superb location and ground floor, it is being adapted free of charge by PW for disabled use

Lulu - you are dead right, purely a personal thing and I didn't mean to upset anyone. The key ingredients are great - front line golf / pool in front / on a great project (connected to La Torre and close to the others) / near the airport / near the sea / superb qualities / good capital gain - AND you have a big terrace!!

I'm really pleased you bought there and think you did well - anyone buying Polaris early will do very nicely I think.

Sorry again - purely a subjective viewpoint!

Hi

Heard from PW the other day (Easter Monday) that the earth removal and road infra structure is under way at TDLT but they have as yet not received permission to start building. They hope to receive permission very soon!!!! After sales seem to think the completion date " second semester 2008 "  will still be attainable ..... personally speaking I think more like Easter 2009. Has any one else heard any thing different?

All the best

I have heard that they have only sold 20% of the properties as yet, And heard that they wont start construction until they have at least 60% sold dont know how true it is though.

Earth moving has started and the roads are being dug out, we drove around the perimeter fence this week, as you drive into Roldan literally before the built up area on the right and you can see the back road into LTGR I can only assume this will be the link road

Hi everyone

spoke to PW this evening to see if they have a definate date for TDLT. I have been informed that they are hoping to complete by the end of 2008 but I would translate that to sometime 2009.
