Air Vents above the Patio Doors & Windows

Dear All

I have just returned from another weekend on La Isla as I had a problem with my aircon pre-installation so I was without heating in my apartment and it was freezing !!  The air vents above the patio doors & windows let in a really big draught but as far as I know there is no way to shut them.

I think that this would make it both difficult & very expensive to heat the apartment  during the colder months - whether you use convector / electric radiators or your aircon. 

Does anyone have a suggestion to overcome this problem ?

Hi,

We were out a couple of weeks ago and noticed the large amount of air flow from the vents when windy. I resorted to selotape to stick the top vent lever down whilst windy. This was the only way I could see to hold down the vent to stop the draft.

However the heating did manage to keep the apartment warm.
