Just returned from our fourth visit to Salinas de Vera and we have to say that we have had a delightful stay and have not had to deal with the problems that some others have had to deal with who are also residents on the complex.
The garden and communal areas appear to us to be very well designed and constructed however we are not building engineers so we are at somewhat of a disadvantage to others who may well know more about these things than us. We have also been told that a new corrugated roof is to be fitted to the car parking bays - well done to those who sorted out that problem.
Our real concern at the moment is regards to the community of owners and the contract arrangement with Marinasol. Unfortunately we wil not be able to attend the AGM on the 5th April. But the ongoing issue of community charges and the value of the services provided needs to be examined, in our opinion.
We are concerned that there are no service level agreements in place and more worringly no quality measurements to ensure that the works being carried out are being done to the agreed standard. The work being carried out in this area by at least one member on the committee of owners needs to be applauded.
This contract needs to be completely reviewed and re-negotiated and we would suggest that this is one of the first objectives the committee undertake after the AGM.
Our next visit is in May and we are really looking forward to it.
