Hello to all my neighbours in Salinas,

I come from Italia and i´ve reading all your messages here since i bought my appartment in block number 5 in Salinas de Vera last September and i was a little bit scared and concerned about all the supposed problems and bad things in our complex but i just found all perfect in my property, i found as well really good attention from after sales lady( Ana) and responsible people working in the technician department as a man called Juan who checked that all was fine before we got in. For the moment i feel happy with Salinas: the plants are growing well, the temperature of the indoor pool is ok and all is clean. I´ve been talking with a couple living in block number four and we agree that we  should claim to Marina Sol for things like the main gate and for the door buzzer person because they have to work hard as Keymur has been doing.

I hope as well that all your problems could be solved as soon as possible. Good luck and i´ll see you this easter. Take care.

Mr. Bettini

Hello Mr Bettini,

All I can say then is, are'nt you the Lucky one.!!

There are many people who have bought in Salinas who have not had there personal snagging problems looked into or even resolved by KeyMur. People who still have problems with there cookers, leaky ceilings and in my own case sub standard finish of patio tiling plus damp in bedroom  from dodgy plumbing or sprinkler system from next doors garden. Either way not sure when KeyMur intend fixin g the problem.. As for the communal areas they are a disgrace.

Front wall at Salinas is a disgrace, the rusty sign outside the main entrance is an insult. The grassy areas are a joke the car port is falling apart.. honestly just amazed that you have'nt noticed the sub standard finish of our communal areas.

Hello Mr Bettini,

I am in block 5 and have been trying since December to get someone to come and fix a leak I have through shodding workmanship on the lading above. Hence everytime it rains it pours into my kitchen ceiling.

I have also met Juan and Ana - both promised that it would be fixed and I have not heard anything since. I have had my keys since last Aug and am still awaiting my snagging to be done.

You are a very lucky man and are in the minority if you have managed to get things sorted out for your apartment.

Please let us know how to do it.

Thank you

Kerry & Martin

Just returned from our fourth visit to Salinas de Vera and we have to say that we have had a delightful stay and have  not had to deal with the problems that some others have had to deal with who are also residents on the complex.

The garden and communal areas appear to us to be very well designed and constructed however we  are not  building engineers so we are at somewhat of a disadvantage to others who may well know more about these things than us. We have also been told that a new corrugated roof is to be fitted to the car parking bays - well done to those who sorted out that problem.

Our real concern at the moment is regards to the community of owners and the contract arrangement with Marinasol. Unfortunately we wil not be able to attend the AGM on the 5th April. But the ongoing issue of community charges and the value of  the services provided needs to be examined, in our opinion.

We are concerned that there are no service level agreements in place and more worringly no quality measurements to ensure that the works being carried out are being done to the agreed standard. The work being carried out in this area by at  least one member on the committee of owners needs to be applauded.

This contract needs to be completely reviewed and re-negotiated and we would suggest that this is one of the first objectives the committee undertake after the AGM.

Our next visit is in May and we are really looking forward to it.

Hello Jan & Ly,

There is more news on the alternate web page www.viv-almeria.com under Salinas de vera. Agree with you, the place seems to be running on a wing and prayer. More like a garden fete ,than a properly accounted and audited buisness... You can still vote by Proxy,  if you are unable to make the crucial meeting of the 5th.  Which block or villa are you folks in? Have also sent you a pm.
