Mar Menor or La Torre - Rental Potential

Hi I'm thinking of buying on one of these resorts La Torre/Mar Menor and wondered how many weeks a year on average you manage to rent out your property (if you rent it out!).  There seems to be a lot of property and so I thought with there being so much competition it might be difficult to let? Also which of these resorts would you say is best for families as I am wanting to use the villa as a holiday home too. Would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

Hi - the amount  you manage to rent out your property is directly equivalent to the amount of marketing you undertake.  It really is hardwork as most owners who rent out their properties will agree I am sure.  I think you have to assume that any rentals you get are bonuses and can be used to offset the costs of running your property and won't provide an income stream as such.

As you rightly say - there is lots of competition.

I have sold a number of properties on both resorts over the last number of years and would recomend buying i Mar Menor due to its close location to the beech. the hotel is very good and there are restaurants in the resort and in Los Alcazaras. i am staying at a villa in August where the people only rent to friends and they have been very busy with people wanting to go back because they love the resort.
