Hi there
I'm buying a property at Al Andalus Thalassa and am keen to know if anyone has been advised officially when their property will be completed. Our duplex was due to be completed March but we have been advised verbally that it will now be June. We've had no official notification, just what I've managed to get from Keymare when I phone. It's frustrating to not know exactly when we can expect to pick up the keys. Is anyone else having the same problems - does anyone have a good contact at Keymare they could put us in touch with???

Hi there
My name is stu, as far as i and my collegues have been concerned we have been fully aware that this development was not due for release until november, however we have received mail stating exact dates for snag visits for each block and release dates as well. As you wrote this a few weeks ago you may have had yours by now, these dates are well in advance of scedule. Between us we have three appmts in block 31 and as the complex is so big they intend to release block by block over a period of time starting end of may through to august. I do have a name and e-mail of one of the agents who is one of only two british poeple working for keymare, if you havn't got your dates yet let me know and i will pm you with it. One of my collegues is out there next week checking things out and getting pickies so we should know a bit more when he gets back
regards
stu

Hi all,
We went to the development on February 1/2 but were unable to have a look around as it was still a construction area . We were expecting a completed show home but no such luck, you can only view from a distance unless you persuade some builders to let you in at the end of the day. We have also had the list re completion but when we were there we were given around three different dates from July to October.
Cheers Jay

Hi there
I find that slightly unrealistic , we went out LAST MAY and had no problems veiwing the show home which was fully completed and furnished, it was one of the 5 story units at the top of the site which was good because we got a good perspective on the whole development from the balcony area.. I would say that you do have to make your prescence known as a customer at the keymare office as yhere are probably an awful lot of time wasters out there. I have loads of pictures on the earlier keymare projects arount that area and several from the show home and veiws from it. The keymare website video is quite realistic as it is taken from the show home that I was in at our visit. I know im promoting the whole thing with what i say but i can only go from my own experience of the project which as far as im concerned has been excellently run and informative.

Hi All,
I started investing in Spain in 2004.....to date Keymare seems to be the best developer...crossing fingers!!! I have a court case won and an appeal by one firm ....which was owned by Majestic until last Sept...Completion was due Dec 2005. Another off plan in Casares del Sol is a nightmare, finished but not as promised in the glossy literature...and the contract is only for the unit!
I did get a shock in Feb at thr size of the Al Andalus Site......and the surrounding estates but hope it works out better!

We have completed 2 inspections today of a duplexes on this site block 22 for propertues that are due to complete in June
The site is still a hard hat area and the pool and gardens a long way off being completed, very much still a building site
On the plus side the quality of the construction was very good, better than hills, and if you would like sample report and photographs e-mail thalassa@inspectahomespain.com

Have just heard from our solicitor advising us today that Keymare don’t think the properties will be completing until the end July/or even beginning of August as they are still waiting a Habitation Certificate from the Town Hall and aren’t sure how long this will take.
Not sure if this is an excuse to delay completions if properties aren’t ready or if it is true – unfortunately, we don’t have sufficient knowledge of the construction industry and how the processes work and in what order – but it looks as though we could be fighting to find flights at peak holiday times.

There is a backlog of properties waiting for habitacion. We were due to complete in October on one in Palomares. A few brave buyers have completed, but we are still waiting for habitacion licences to come through. Not trying to be pessimistic, but it might solve the peak flight problem!
