Just been looking at the latest photo's which look good but just wondered what that was in the distance. Is it some sort of by-pass/flyover. Can't remember anybody mentioning that to us when we bought the house.

It is a fly over which passes over the railway track where the level crossing was. If you go on the shared photos for the Taray Hacienda San Cayetano site and view the photos taken on 13th Feb there is a very clear picture of it.

Hi I'm Sue. My husband and I have bought plot 24 which is due for completion in August this year (sooner we hope). I'm looking for the photos taken on the 13 Feb for Taray Hacienda, but I can't find them. Where do I look. Is the flyover any detriment to the site?

Hi Sue
Don't know if it will be detrimental to the site in the short term but long term I would like to know WHY it is being built, are we going to get more trains. I would have liked to have known about it before I signed as I think it aint gonna look pretty.
I believe it will increase the traffic going through the village as the road is coming off the A-30, hope I'm wrong.
Can the residents of Torre Alcantara shed any light for us non-residents.
Hasta luego
Pete (Plot No 21)

Hi Neighbours
Has anyone mentioned this to their agents? If so what was their responce. I would say this means more trains going through, thats the reason fly overs are normally built for.
This was not mentioned by our agent Parador when we purchased nor by the Taray agent on site.

Hello pinhead here, the bridge must be being put in for safety reasons or to waste money because unless they build a new embankment, track and tunnel under the C3319, there is no way that another train line will be put in.
I was walking the dog earlier and i swear to god I could have grafittied the train as it passed, it was going about 3 mph and there was no noise.
Also the road in and out of balsicas pretty much leads back out to the C3319 or sucina, and further towards alicante on the AP7 there is a turning for sucina so there shouldn't be too much traffic......

Hi folks re flyover. We were told that this was getting built as the railway line was going to accommodate the hi-speed link to Madrid and Barcelona. We live right on the front and apart from the petrol trains the others are almost unnoticeable. There is an embankment getting built with trees either on the top of it or in front of it to mask the site and sound of the trains. You are all right tho' we were not told about it but I think you would find that Taray would say that they didn't have to tell anybody because it's not on their land. Poor get out but I think that's what they would say.

Hi Neighbours
Regarding the “Fly Over” I asked our agents Parador and they have said the fly over is going to be a pedestrian walkway.
The train Line is going to be modified to accept Electric Trains only and not the present noisy Diesel cargo ones.
I would think that the noise would be dramatically reduced if the trains are going to be all electric for this people who live next to the line itself.

Hi Sue,
If you start from EOS home page and then go to your message boards. At the bottom you will see "add another development"
Click on this and add Hacienda San Cayetano. When you are on Hacienda San Cayetano click on shared photo's at the top of page. The Flyover/bridge is photo taken 13th Feb. Hope you can understand all this as it sounds a bit muddled.

Hola, todos
We are also a bit annoyed about the flyover - I can't imagine not being told about this sort of development if you were buying a house in the UK. But, to be honest, I am not sure it will be that much of a problem. The traffic from the main road used to have to drive over a level crossing. When we were out in January, I picked up a local paper which had an article indicating that there is a project ongoing at present to replace all level crossings in the region with flyovers. I don't think there will be any more traffic using the flyover than there would have been driving over the level crossing - it will just be safer. It will be safer for us, too.

We live on Vizconde de Ros (No 14) so you can't get much closer to the railway line. Our experience is that there are abour 4 relatively noisy freight trains a day and a number of quite quiet passenger trains , the first of which is at 5.30 am and the last at 11.45 p.m. I am a bit of a train buff myself so I quite like them (don't call me an anorak) but we do not see them as a problem.
There is talk of an upgrade to fasr passenger trains in the future which appears to be factually based but it remains to be seen what the effect will be.
