Hi, my name is steve conley. my wife & I have just bought no. 10, la fuenta at pinar de bedar. we are going to use it for holidays about 4/5 times a year & will spend about 15/20 weeks a year there.

The website has been down for a couple of days but is up and running again. wish you well with your investment in El Pinar. We over again June 24th so will try to post update on the development when we return. Hopefully we will be living over there very soon, we have an apartment in Turre and have been property owners there for 5 years.

Paul - hope you had a time in Bedar and we are looking forward to your comments on the progress of the development. Our daughter was there a few weeks ago and reported progress but not on our House. Our daughter is also buying a house in Bedar. With all this horrible weather in the UK we can't wait for our holiday in September.

Steve - do you have any news about your apartment in La fuente?

I was in bedar last week and the approach road is absolutely fantastic lined with palms. Its one of the best developments I have seen. The commercial centre is coming along but will be upto 6 months late, the builders are cracking on with the houses and I expect the initial ones as you come onto the village will be ready on time as the developer will want to use them as a show piece. I will report again in August. I'll try to take some snaps and put them on the web or email them. We saw a couple of dead snakes on the road!!! small ones and last year at my Niece's house in Bedar we saw some tortoise. Its really got to be the jewel in the crown and I wish you all luck with the completions. Let me know if you want to know where to buy things and I'll try point you in the right direction.

Paul, Thanks for the update and for your offer of help. Everything is in hand at the moment. Perhaps we can meet up when we are there is early September in the Bar in el Pinar. Hopefully Steve will be able to come as well. We can arrange a date nearer the time. With all the horrible weather we are having here, we can't wait to be in Spain.

We are Anne and Alan and we have reserved plot no 7 Lavanda. We already have contacts with David and Helen Horton but would like to make contact with other people interested in the El Pinar properties . We are in Spain from 30th Sept for 5 weeks.

Hi, Bob & Tracey here we bought No 13 Lavanda 2 1/2 yrs ago and we are now geting near completion well sometime in the next 6 Months they say Oct / Nov we say Jan / Feb 08, we bought on this site because of the standard of workmanship in the town houses that they have built in the middle of the village.

We are out on Oct 16th but once we have moved in please feel free to call in.

Anyone living in their new homes yet? there is a costa almeria community meeting on 3 Nov 2007 in Bar El Pinar, its a group of people who meet in a different place every month, they all live in almeria so if you want to meet new friends be in the bar from 1pm.

Hi Paul and Angela, Thanks for the info re the meeting at the el Pinar bar on the 3rd November.  Fortunately we'll be in Bedar from 1st to the 7th November, so will be there. We've been in touch with Ann and Alan (from 7 Lavander) and they want to come as well. Hope we get a chance to meet up with you both. David and Helen

The next community almeria meeting will be at Villaricos on 3rd Dec, anyone heard about their completions yet?It was good to see future El Pinar residents at the last meeting, David & Helen etc, hope you are okay and looking forward to living in Spain.

Hi all

I have just bought Number 11 La Fuente. We are going to use it as a holiday home for a fair chunk of the year (as much as I can get really).

Hoping it might be ready by early April so we can come out for completion.

We have been travelling a lot, and still have trips to NZ (Jan-Mar) and Greek Islands (May) planned, so April will just fit in!

Going to ease up on the travelling now we have bought our place in the sun.

Ive sent a private message to Steve as he will be our neighbour.

A residents association (AVEP de Bedar) was set up last year in El Pinar. If you want to find out what it is all about please come along to one of our (Just started, first one last week) Library/coffee mornings, at bar El Pinar.  The next is March 6th  just for one hour 11-12 to be held once a fortnight . Meet some of the residents/your new neighbours.
