I am sure some of the people who are living in San Cayetano are aware that several people have started to paint their own property in a colour that in their opnion is a correct match.
We would like to know how and when this was decided for the rest of us as i would have thought this should have been at an AGM and not at a Petanca meeting to decide what colour my house was to be but Presidents & Vice President have decided for us i thought i had the same rights as all of you who have bought a house from Taray how wrong was i.
If you are going to do your house i would like to give you my 30 + years experience as a painter & decorator i myself since moving to Spain have had to learn a lot about different paints and how they react to the different elements from the UK as the sun makes paint react differently due to high tempatures .
This is what you must to if you want to do your home yourself to ensure you get a perfect finish as when you paint your home it is not just to make it look PRETTY but it is also to PROTECT your home and make it last several more years .
- Jet wash your property to remove all salts that is in your building also this remove the excess dirt & moulds this is not just my advice but advice given by proffesional companies.
- Apply Isaval ankler isacerilico stabalising solution (PVA) to all areas that is being painted this seals the building also ensure that the paint applied will adhere to all areas and will give you a better finish. This was also the advice from Taray as the walls have never been painted.
- Apply 2 -3 coats of good quality masonry paint .
I have in my opinion as near a match as you can get this is the details if you want to paint your own home : VB096 PROVENZA VALENTINE from Briz in Cartagena. This is not cheap but you only get what you pay for faulse economy never pays.
Lastly i would like you all to know that this soley advice from a resident in San Cayetano and not in anyway for us to try and get work from as we have been accussed from a certain person we are a professional Legal & Registered Company who pay our taxes . This is from a concerened resident as i dont want to live in a community that will end up looking like a paint chart will all these different shades , i would also like to say it would be courtesy to speak with your neighbour prior to going ahead with, as you will end up with a quad like me looking like a Neapolitan cake !!
Can i also let you know we got permission from Julio the Administrator prior to us starting our own property.
