There is no more building, they still have a glut of unsold properties they need to clear.
As for the Club House, Hotel and more bars, these are not likely to appear in the near future as Polaris have pulled out of the resort completly.

Not quite Darren, they no longer have a glut of unsold properties, as the banks now own a large amount, you will find that a vast majority of properties have now been sold, IRM now own all of the commercial properties so people can now lease the units, so things in that respect will now move forward. As for new builds the demand in the whole of Spain will not justify any more builds in the near future. Wait till next year and see if any movement on the Paramount front, then we may see some movement within the next 3 to 5 years.
Clubhouse etc read all the previous threads.

Polaris World still have property here. If the Paramount project comes alive they will build numerous apartments...also 2 more golf-courses ... according to my source of info...but of course...that is a big IF....

Well,please inform me...who ownes the cleared land around the driving-range and between Naranjos and the access road to the main security entrance all the way up to that security entrance.
And who ownes the land beyond the "Island" area. IRM ?...Not according to a bank in the region which is part of IRM.
I would appriciate new info that have not reached me yet......Thank you for any info you might have, BFR.

and I would appreciate where you think they have the money to build considering they are skint. Why on earth would they build further golf courses when they keep giving them away?

"skint' I assume means bankrupt....i am american and do not understand all your local english..sorry about that....but hopefully you have some friends in Mar Menor ?...if you do, please ask them who is building new apartments down there...I will guarantee it is not IRM....Let me know what they tell you,please. Hi all, regarding developments on CdA, being a long time lurker on this site there appears to have been a lot of positive stuff happening over the summer. The weekly markets (since stopped), loads of holidaymakers (since gone home) the sports bar (not yet opened), IRM taking over Al Kasar (no change yet), Paramount (the great hope for many but not cast in stone despite all the hype). Alot of stuff that gives the place great potential to improve but that at hte moment is all it is , great potential. I think that for CdA to improve for the owners is for the backlog of unsold properties to be gone. Easier said than done i know ,but i was just wondering if anyone knows how many ,if any , unsold apartments are there out there. I wasn't out this summer but when i was out last year there appeared to be quite alot. I know in my own Jardine (Naranjos 7) there seemed to be about 100 of 160 sold. Came to that figure from the amount of furnished and with outside lights and electricity meter fitted. Everytime i turn on the computer all i see is distressed property for sale on CdA. Hoping the end is near for all this distressed property and at least the market will find a bottom and we can at last eventually start to see our investments starting to stop sliding. I know thats wishful thinking but i think we are all hoping. I think that when this happens ,and i am not naive enough to think it will happen soon, but when it does and the resort loses its off peak "ghost town" image and there are more permanent residents , it is only then that we can hope to see any other developments on the building side of things.

I am excited about my next visit to Condado, 2 new golf courses, a club house, sports bar and a tower in my garden! SMV, I have bought a welding mask so the little gits can't do any lasting damage to my eyesight.
B.bravo do you know when they are going to start construction of the oasis and the 5 star hotel?

The land beyond La Isla that formed Condado 2 was taken over by IRM 18 months ago, this is the land that IRM tried very hard to sell to the paramount project but failed as they wanted €300M for it and were not willing to divide or lower the price
ALL the other land inside the resort i.e between P7 & P8 was taken over last March to clear further Polaris Debt.
All the above has been well documented in the local papers.
Polaris now own nothing in Condado other than a small number of properties.
Yes, PW were still building Mar Menor & La Torre but there's nothing going on at the moment and I doubt there will be for a few years.

When someone new to the forum comes along and states that Polaris still own the land around La Isla and that they may build 2 new golf courses.
To point out that he is incorrect is not being negative, its just reality.

You are not wrong in what you say Darren, it´s just the way it´s done. Just watch how this thread might develop to see what I mean. The winter blues will get to us all just like it did last year and the year before. Unfortunately amusing but sarcastic comments only make people feel even more negative than they would want. JF

I'm postive but realistic on the fortunes of CdA
1) Great markets which had fantastic support
2) Large increase in the numbers over summer (from what I saw)
3) Significant sales of the "unsold" properties (from general talk and people providing services to apartments)
4) Probable that a 2nd bar and some more shops will be opened by next summer
5) New Airport to open maybe next year
6) Fantastic golf course still improving and the chance of a clubhouse for next summer
I enjoy my time at CdA anyway (I write this as the rain pours down in Dublin) and so if any of the above continue or eventuate it will only get better.
And IF Paramount (which I'm not hanging my hat on) happens then you might get real Development on CdA again. Then again I quite like the peace and quiet I get now.

skint means having no money, I think PTAN has correctly stated about Polaris world. A major point which you have failed to acknowledge is about the fact you think they will be starting new goflf courses when the facts are they have just given 3 more away. Thanks again my american friend. I do however hope you are correct.

Hi we were over for 2 weeks just back from Condado the weather was great up in the 30 to38degs had a great two weeks .We are on garden8 los naranjos the last time we were over that was about 3 months ago there were 43 empty properties out of 146 on our garden this time when we were over there was only 30 left empty so in three months 13 have been sold . the only ones that are left are the ones in the top and bottom four corners lets hope in a few months time they sell a few more . Hope to be back soon on Condado roll on jan? all the best Malc
