Once again Ryanair have succeeded in wasting more of our time.  With the introduction of the Capitcah system which asks you to copy indiscernible phrases in to a sign on box.  I have come accross thie capitcha system before, normally once you have logged on you are left in peace to go about your business.   With Ryanair you are forced to repeat the Capitcha process over and over, it allows you no time to complete your booking on a single visit.  What is this all about?  For me it is just another Ryanair irritation.  I have had the virtues of the Capitcha system explained to me in the past, but for the life of me I cannot justify it atoll.

We have booked flights on the ryanair site since the new password requirement- we only had to enter the passwords once during the several visits to the site whilst we made up our minds on dates and prices that suited. Then only once during the booking transaction.

However what I did find was that after entering our dates and preferred airports the password page opened with instructions what to do, but often didnt have the phrases or the box to enter them into- so you could go no further and needed to log out and start again, maybe more than once.

So whichever problem you encounter it's cleary frustrating and slows everything down.

Just spent a frustrating time pricing ryanair flights.  Used to be easy enough to go through the weeks and check prices...now its entering these passwords every few dates.  And I have to say there was at least one I could not read and another couple I had to guess one letter.

Surely they could come up with a better way to combat automated access to their site.

Tell me about it how frustrating is it now!!!!  I just keep changing the words until I can read one of them but what a pain keep typing it in, this will lose them business if they don't sort it out......   I know you can change the words if you can't make them out but what a pain in the rear!!!!

I've always defended their service levels as they were quick and easy to use, but this just annoyed me as i was looking for best prices for 14 seperate flights from liverpool or manchester to alicante or murcia ........ no of combinations ?.

After 30mins of messing about i went over to Jet2 and Easyjet and split about £2k of business between them whereas Ryanair used to get all my money .......... yes cost me a bit more and service on the day of flight no better, but i didn't have a week to waste on Ryanair's website.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Ryanair.

We have forwarded a copy of your letter to our IT Department and I can assure that all suggestions are given due consideration.

Please note that if you have any further queries relating to this request you will have to submit another request via our web form.

I don't think that Jet 2 are more expensive because by the time you add all the charges onto Ryan Air fares they are no cheaper. Don't forget that Jet 2 also allow 22 kgs in your suitcase (not the 15kgs that Ryan Air only allow) and are also more flexible with hand luggage items. I always carry a large shoulder bag full of items as well as my 10kg packed to the brim hand luggage case on wheels and have never had a problem, but have spoken to Ryan Air customers who have had to pay extra just to take a small bum bag that was tied around their waist as it was classed as too much hand luggage.

We have also taken over furniture (e.g cabinets) with Jet 2 booking them as a suitcase but only on the outbound flight, they don't mind as long as you stay more or less within the 22kgs and you tell them what the item is as it is handled separately and more delicately than the suitcases. If the item is between 22 - 25 kg then they add the weight to the other suitcase and as long as they are around 44 kg combined we have never had a problem.

We have also taken over bikes (costs a bit more £30 but you have to contact the call centre to book).

Before some-one mentions it no I'm not a Jet2 employee but have never had a complaint, and as a bonus if you fly regularly with them you can accumulate free flights.

I hear what you say about Jet2 but it all depends on the route you fly from and to, unfortunately Jet2 and the other airlines are significantly more expensive than Ryanair for me personally sometimes up to twice the price, as I only take hand luggage so the other charges do not apply to us

One must laugh ............. no, one really must

Jet2 have very kindly cancelled all their Manchester/Murcia Monday flights in October so 'us' couldn't get back and I've no more hols to sneak another couple of days, so have had to book good ol Ryanair to come back on the Monday, and the site worked a lot swifter than when it annoyed the hell outta me a few weeks ago ......... maybe teething problems.

Oh and had to change the car-hire and car parking as well ........... cheers Jet2

Ryanair supply every bit as good, if not better service than all the others.  What amazes me is their ability to, (as smivs puts it) naff people off with unneccessary annoying features such as £6.00 charge for the use of credit cards, credit card charge or not it increases the cost of your  flight.  We all know it's all down to the "low Cost Flights Airline" boast.  We're not daft, don't be so condescending, if it looks like the cost of the flight, then it most likely is the cost of the flight.  If you require a security system on your web-site by all means apply one, but not one that interrupts your booking every 30 seconds.  And if you book wheel chair access don't advise us to report to the serviceair or swissair desk to then be informed you have to report to the check-in, particularly after you have booked priority boarding.  All in all and in the main Ryanair supply, in most caeses, what it says on the box.  Just cut out the nonsense and don't naff us off!!

Will RyanAir still fly to Alicante? Today they lost their appeal in the Courts at Alicante so will have to use the walk in terminal and can not use steps?
