Fishing in the area

Hi everyone,

We spent a good day out fishing with Tony Fwakes earlier in the year but he told me he was selling up and returning to the UK. I'm looking to do some sea fishing next year and wondered if anyone knew of anyone who does this locally. I would also be interested in lake or river fishing.

Any advise would be appreciated.

My hubby is into fishing too... We enjoyed  Tony's day out too, shame he will not be operating from Pto mazarron anymore!

We have used Charter Muffy on the Mar Menor but were not that impressed as the boat we had was manned by a Spanish chap who did'nt speak a word of English, nor was there anywhere to sit on the boat!

We have fished at a couple of lakes, the resevoir near Mariposa in the Sierra Espuna and another lake a couple of hours away north west of Murcia (sure I can find out exact info if you need it).

Go-n Sail may offer a charter which would include fishing?

We would appreciate any more tips of good fishing trips too!

Will look into the fishing and maybe organise a charter boat for a group from condado over the summer. As I am a keen fisherman and here 24/7 will investigate.

Sounds a really good idea, We are out on CDA a few times next year and would be up for it if our sons join us. I was going to ask Mark at the Mariposa if he knew anyone who arranges fishing at the lake or nearby because I wouldn't mind trying lake or river fishing if it wasn't too far away.

We really do like sea fishing though, I was wondering if anyone has bought Tony's boat and taken the trips on for next year.

Either way Neil, please let us know if you get any information on this.
