UPDATE RE LATEST VISIT - MARCH 2007

Hi there,

Promised an update from our last visit.   Things have moved on quite a bit since we were out just before Christmas. Lots of the development going on around Pueblo Salinas, especially noticeable is the new Andalus Hills Veranda & Thalassa apartments.  The swimming pool at the rear of the Leisure Club (as you can see by the photos) is filled and working - water feature an all.  All the apartments are painted externally and the swimming in the middle of our apartments is dug out!  All the apartments and duplexes are now sold and the next phase is due to be released for sale at the end of this month.    The Leisure Club is looking very  smart and the sales rep showed us all around the inside.  There is what appears to be a large spa pool in the basement with pillars in the middle and windows overlooking the outdoor pool.  On the same floor is to be a squash court, gym, sauna and turkish bath.  On the ground floor is to be a beauty salon for massage etc and a large cafeteria with tables and chairs out on the veranda.  1st floor is to be a restaurant  and a bar.     The Padal Tennis courts are starting to be laid , but the tennis courts appear to be moving from their original location to somewhere behing the Leisure Club in Phase2/3, can't tell you very much yet.  Leisure Club won't be available til next year though.    Also the one  bathroom apartments are not to figure in future phases and have been replaced by the two bathroom option.   The Sales rep was also talking about the fact that they are trying to negotiate for a company to bring a cinema in to the commercial block outside-  but that is "in discussion".  Rumour still has it that a company have just got planning to put a golf course in on the other side of the main road leading up to Salinas, but possibly further back than immediately opposite (but again things change).  Weather was hotting up nicely and all the local business are sprucing up their pubs and restaurants ready for the summer season.    Took a trip up to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort about 30 kilometres from Granada, great roads all the way there, took us three hours and we had a superb day walking around the ski resort and had four hours of snowboarding lessons.  Best of both worlds!  Also had a look around the Desert Springs Golf Couse - very smart!       -   Don't suppose we will get their now before the "snagging visit" but if things go according to the Rep we will be ready for occupation first week of July.   (hope thats right as we have our  holidays booked for the third week of July and need somewhere to stay!)

We recently emailed Medsea ( our property agents) because we were expecting an inspection report on 18th March, they replied saying that they could not go on site to do inspection because Key Mur had been taken over by Key Mare and they only allow access  when there is a pre-completion check. We have queried this with our solicitor in Vera and they were cool about it but just wondered if you had heard anything to the contrary.

Just to let you know we appreciate your updates from your photos, we are going out first week of June and will take photos then, we will be in Block 3, whats your block because you mentioned you have been told completion date of first week of July, we are awaiting our solicitor with an update on our completion date.
