Hi All, Yes MRII i agree that the majority owner can put whoever he likes in his properties, but to my mind if the social housing idea goes ahead Corvera Golf then stops being a resort complex and just becomes a housing estate. My point is that i don't want to own a property on a residential housing estate, i want to own a property on a resort complex, that is what i thought i was buying. At the end of the day if the majority owner puts hundreds of social housing tenants into the empty properties then it is my contention that changes the nature of the development from a primarily second home holiday or resort complex to a primarily residential main home housing estate, even at boom prices four or five years ago the cost of buying a standard apartment in a mainly residential complex was much lower that buying on a supposed five star golf and resort complex. So yes he has the right to do what he wants, but his actions may have dire financial implications on our properties which are already worth way way below their original purchase prices. The bottom line is that the 450 existing owners could get together to sue the majority owner for financial loss resulting from his actions, not to actually stop him renting out the properties to whoever he likes, this is a very important distinction. Certainly though i think the existing owners and banks should be able to force a Corvera Golf EGM where we may be able to get some answers.
