Thinking of buying this month

I have recently bought and purchased. Completed late Fe.

Solicitors PAL in Mazarron - Contact Sally. Best price and were excellent.

If paying cash no problem. I was originaly getting morgage and it was a right pain but this was mainly due to two banks merging. I ended up paying cash. Saved a fortune in fees, completed quickly and offered a lower price than orignally agreed.

Look before buying. A lot had faults and things missing. The one I had originally agreed to buy had many things wrong. I picked another one. Mine had ever been lived in just depends if you are going down this route.

7% Tax. This should be 7% of the purchase price and is initially. However, the local council will value you property at a higher price so they can effectively come back for a further 7% of the difference. I have been told this may or may not happen but it is hapening to a lot of people. Amazing but a fact.

Lovely place though at great purchase prices with great people around.

I would avoid PALS solicitors at all costs.  They are all very nice and pleasant...until something goes wrong!  I purchased a new build using them and they failed to advise me that the swimming pool did not have the required licence.  They had a very cosy relationship with the contractor and I don't believe they did the proper checks.  They were also a bit pricey, particularly for a second rate job.

If you want a local solicitor in Mazarron I can recommend Silvente Asseores who are far more thorough and Ana is very helpful:
