Tonight on the 29th of May 2013, I smiley Kev witnessed an indescribable event. I was out on a gander with my dog Winston at the approximate hour of 23:35. Soon after I had completed my 13th lap of the al Kasar swimming pool, I noticed a group of adult and youth males wandering out of the new American diner. They began to approach the al Kasar swimming pool - I should note that much to my dismay signs have recently been put up stating that swimming is no longer allowed in the al Kasar pool- anyway back to the story. As the males approached the pool, one man began to jump into the water and proceeded to walk across. As winston laid down on the stone floor I looked on with complete horror in my eyes. The man continued to walk across before completing a return lap in the opposite direction. As he exited the water he was mobbed and cheered by his compadres. I say to you fellow condadoers that this man MUST be caught. We must find him. I sincerely hope that this post is taken with the upmost seriousness, as I believe this matter needs to be addressed. Thankyou, Smiley Kev.

I thought those signs were only tempting fate!!

What surprises me this morning is I am sure I read on EOS a while back of an account of a previous offender in the lake on his lilo.  He also had a dog called Winston??

How about a webcam in Al Kasar?

This could be monitored by security assuming they have access to the internet in the Gatehouse.  I don't know how much these things cost to set up and run, but could there be enough in the security budget?  Any presidents able to promote/progress this?

It would also be great for those of us unable to be there to have a peek at what's going on.

good luck

Kev.

Did you report this to Security at the time of the incident, also did you report this to ML the following day?

If yes what did they say.

If not, maybe thats where we should all start as and when we see something of this nature occur.

All incidences, trouble, etc MUST be reported to Security immediately Car 618 080 585 and Gate 968 328 026

Serious incidences call Police 112.

And then followed up asap by reporting to Admin who will investigate.

Cameras may be a good idea but the Security and Maintenance of the Al Kasar is not part of the community budget it is funded by the owner IRM.

Hi Smiley. I too witnessed the said incident and was struck with the same sense of horror as you! How these people can blatantly ignore these all too visible signs is beyond me! Sadly, this isn't the first time and I fear it won't be the last! Only a couple of weeks ago I was out walking my shihtzu, Albert, around the Al Kasar pool, much like yourself. Imagine my horror when I saw what can only be described as an 'inebriated overweight gentleman' in green speedos doing backstroke across the pool! I was aghast, but didn't fancy the challenge of approaching this chap as he looked like he could 'handle himself.' I fear the only way forward would be to pave over the pool and this would detract from what is a lovely feature. Something must be done, and soon!

Dangerous Dave.

Maybe these idiots are only visable to dog owners?

And maybe, just maybe these posts are a wind-up from someone with a very good sense of humour who doesn't know when to stop and/or unfortunately is seriously simply trying to wind people up...................

It doesn't take a genius to work out that all of these comments were from spurious/new profiles/posts and what with back strokes in a knee high puddle, smileykev, winston the dog, speedos and blokes like 'Dangeros Dave out walking his shihtzu', yes definately a sense of humour is required!

Nevertheless guys, maybe enough is enough as it honestly may well deter wannabe buyers, visitors and tourists to our resort whose first port of call might be by checking out this site. Myself, I love the craic and have had many laughs over such posts, yes I'm Irish, but alas no, I can no longer fit into my green speedos of years gone by.

Slainte

Gabe

I did take exception to my mate Dangerous's Dave description of me as inebriated overweight gentleman who looks like he could handle himself ............. but then he is a bit of a wind up merchant.

Anyway to get to the main point i couldn't help reading between the lines in that you yearn for the days when you could fit in your green speedos, well guess what I've a second hand pair available, only used the once if you want them .......

Gabe, why is it only the Irish who can see through this post? It is so obviously a windup...look for previous post about dog owner on lilo with dog called Winston, then put 2 and 2 together! Cant believe so many have taken this so serious!!!

Now we really do have a dilemma, as I had no problem seeing through the shenanigans of back strokes, dogs and people on lilos in the Al Kasar water feature, yes that was just a laugh, however now that you're all taking the piss out of my 70s emerald green speedos, well it's getting personal, especially as none of you knew me back then...............

Yes Dave, if only I could still fit into them rather than use them as a wrist strap these days!!

I am deeply disheartened and upset that such accusations could be pointed in the direction of myself. All I try to do is to serve and protect the people of condado de alhama, and this is how I am treated. Each morning, I look over the al Kasar swimming pool and pledge allegiance to being a loyal community servant. The once smiley Kev, is not so smiley anymore.

Maybe Smiley Kev & Winston The Dog,  could become security/life Guards for the Al Katraz swimming pool/water feature?

Hi Smiley Kev. I'm feeling quite sorry that you're not feeling smiley anymore, but don't worry - once these Al Kasar pool terrorists are apprehended we will all be able to move on from this most unsavoury incident and the smile will be back on your face! I spent several hours at Al Kasar last night (sadly without Albert) and I'm pleased to report that there wasn't a single incident of water-bothering for the entire evening. Not proof yet that some may still venture into the lush waters of Al Kasar, but a step in the right direction I'm sure you'll agree? One previous poster mentioned the possibility of webcams, and I feel this could be the way forward! I think maybe some sort of remote-controlled miniature boat with a built in webcam, controlled from the gatehouse could be the answer to all our prayers. Here's hoping!

Dangerous Dave

Smiley Kev, please keep smiling...I have to confess to scouring the resort for you on my walks. I look all male dog walkers in the eye thinking could that be Winston and his owner?? Perhaps, it was indeed another person with a dog coincidentally called Winston...if found I shall gladly apprehend him for you and help clear your name!

2 littletinkers its not the dogs you should be looking out for on your walks but those green speedos as no doubt they're fluorescent so you'ld be able to spot them any time night or day.
Just be sure to alert the relevant authorities, about the speedos that is......
I want them back!!
Gabe

They dont fit any more Gabe, I believe they have gone to a good home!! Winston certainly wont lose his master in those!

I see you more in surf shorts now, Hawaiian style....let Kev keep them????

Haha, I agree, it's time for me to put those days behind me and move on.

Anyway, I saw a lovely lime green mankini on eBay the other day that I've got my eye on, it's just a shame about the colour of green otherwise I would have already snapped it up - surely that would put the smile back on Kevs face. Mind you Dangerous Dave would have to keep that Shititsu of his on a tight leash what with all my best bits on display!

How about putting the water from Al Katraz into the lake on the golf course and turn the useless and bizarre swimming pool that you're not allowed to use, into a sunken garden with grass and proper recognisable water features, with seated shaded areas that we can actually use, instead of sitting around a huge wasted area that's neither a swimming pool or a water feature?
