Hi folks
First post here seeking some help and advice from the permanent residents in CdA.
Brit couple, both around 50, currently working and living in the middle east. Have a property in the US with original intention of semi-retiring there, however US immigration hassles so severe, have decided to look a litle closer to home, hence our visit to Spain this summer.
Have rented a small townhouse in the Cabo Roig area for the summer and have had an endless stream of family/friends staying. (Good thing - honestly, as we seldom get the chance to see them much!)
We are now considering buying a small property (2/3 bedroom) where we can base ourselves for 9 months of the year. Both keen golfers, hence the attraction of the various Polaris properties.
Made some enquiries online about CdA apartments, however first call I received, suggested that La Torre golf resort might be better suited to our needs.
I've made appointment to view some properties there, but will, of course, also look at others, including CdA.
I've noted how busy and helpful the CdA forum is and would really appreciate any help, comments or other useful advice any of you may be willing to share with us.
We obviously don't want to end up staying longer term anywhere that turns into a 'ghost town' after the summer season has passed, but at the same time, summer season should be 'liveable' for both short termers and longer term residents.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and also in advance for any responses.
Regards
George & Lynn
