Hi All

Was potentially thinking of purchasing a 3 Bed possibly in Garden 5 through Banco Popular (via a trusted agent). Any thoughts on the location and whether anyone has, or knows of anyone that has, bought through this bank. All feedback would be gratefully received. These potentially come with the furniture packs which I understand are not exactly top of the range goods. However, at least it gets you started for rentals or to stay in yourself.

The prices are higher than the Cam bank offers of last year, but they are not sold as seen and issues should be rectified. I have visited the resort before but was going to buy on Jardine 13 back then so did not really look at Los Naranjos in that much detail.

One other thing, how have people faired on rentals? i have been told that around 10 weeks is realistic, more if you actively market.

Hi DH,

We bought a three bed in Naranjos 5 last year via Banco Popular and all went well. There are a few south facing three beds left in the garden but they face onto the side of the other buildings however there a good number of west facing which are in good positions overlooking the pool and will get the sun in your front terrace from around 11 ish until the sun goes down at night. If dealing with Banco Popular you will go through the branch at Puerto de Mazzeron which is managed by Trinny. She speaks good English and is fantastic to deal with. PM for more info if required

We bought on Naranjos 5 a few months ago and have just spent the summer there.  I love this garden, we have so many new friends there now, everyone is lovely and we all look out for each other.  If one of us is going to the supermarket, we ask if anyone else would like anything ... so friendly!

We bought through an agent who was a god send in dealing with all enquiries to and from the bank, they also put us in touch with the solicitors (English speaking) who were very quick, very thorough and a delight to deal with.  If you want any further information or any introductions, please PM me and I'll help.

We bought with the furniture pack as the deal with Banco Popular was the same price, irrespective of whether you took the furniture or not.  Haggle, never pay the asking price, but be aware they do have a ceiling price that they won't go below so t's good to know that.

I am aware of only one 3 bed south facing apartment left on N5, that has a good view of the pool.  It is next to ours.  After that there are a further 4 but their view of the pool is very impeded.  Then there are only 2 bed ones left.  Others side to N5 have 3 beds left, but the sun can be somewhat limiting on those sides, hence why we bought south facing.  Plus we have a view of the mountains out the bak, which is nice too.

We also have experience of shipping goods from the UK to Condado, as well as contacts for minor maintenance jobs as well which we'll be happy to help you with.

We bought our first apartment at Naranjos 2 year 2010, a 2-bed top floor facing north-east. Summer 2012 we bought at south-west facing 3-bed at Naranjos 5. It is a huge difference during spring, winter and autumn. When the wind is strong and the temperature around 15 degrees it´s not so nice to sit outside at the 2-bed but in the 3-bed at Naranjos 5 it´s nice to sit relaxed in the sun and enjoy. So if you plan to use the apartment all year for holiday I absolute recommend to choose a south or south-west facing apartment.

The location of Naranjos 5 is perfect. Close to Al Kasar and the golfcourse, but quite a bit to the sportscentre.

We bought through Rupert at Quality Homes Costa Calida (in Al Kasar) and he was very helpful through the process. The furniture pack is ok i think. I heard from Rupert that they now are selling apartments at Naranjos 6, also from Banco Popular. That garnen is half the size and all apartments close to the pool. I would recommend to check for a south or west facing apartment at that garden.

I´ve had no problems to rent the apartment during highseason but the other months is not so easy.....3-bed seems to be easier to rent than 2-beds. And once again south or southwest apartments should be much easier to rent all the year.
