Hi, does anyone know how much firefly usually charge for full tank of fuel? We are hiring a Zafira 7 sweater and trying to decide between 2 car rental companies and at the moment it's down to the fuel price! Thanks

Go with the other one, my friend had a Peugeot 207 and was charged €90 for petrol, so a Zafira is going to be considerably more.

I was charged €75 euros for fuel for a small car. I was ready for an argument with Firefly expecting to be charged around €120 but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely and the car was brand new. I got 20 days in July/August for €282. Hard to beat. Arlene.

Just used Firefly and paid around 71euros for a tiny Panda. Previously used Goodcar and was charged 68 for a Corsa. Hope that helps.

Its worth buying an annual excess waiver in the UK though. Firefly charge 65euros for ten days.

A panda tank is 37 liters so at today's fuel prices they have charged €16 more than it cost to fill. It is a bit more but probably not too bad?? I politely declined Fireflys extra insurance and they were fine. Unlike Goldcar who were aggressive and rude and basically told me if I didn't take it then I wasn't covered to drive! Despite the website I booked on saying I was fully covered and ony had to consider insurance for 'extras' if I wanted them. I have never used them since and they have recently been handed a massive fine by the courts for their sharp practices. Mind you, lots of folk have complained about Firefly so I guess I was just lucky. They're probably all at it to some extent.
