Im thinking of mounting a blind across the'breakfast bar' in a penthouse. Does anyone know if thepillars either side contain water pipes or electric cables at ceiling level ? Certainly one has several light switches, and what looks like an access panel near the top. Anyone had a look inside? I don't really want to remove the panel unless necessary. Alternatively what is the ceiling made from? Grateful for any advice.

Yes, done the same myself. There are wires in the side walls and in general there are wires and pipes all over the place so be careful where you drill. I fixed mine to the ceiling, it is very very hard so good drill bit and decent drill required. JF

does any one know where you can get the structural plans for the electrical / water / waste / aircon instulations for the jardin buildings I want to make some alterations to the interior
