Hi everyone We seem to have lost our digital tv signal. We had Wifi fitted through A2Z the day we left in July and can't remember using the tv that day and so wondered if this could be part of the problem or just coincidental. Either way we have lost signal has anybody else experienced this problem? Or could anyone recommend anyone to sort the problem out Look forward to hearing Many thanks

Hiya, Try this and see if it works. Go to the comms cupboard where your router was installed.
There may be a white connector box next to the router sayin Input 1 and Input 2 on the top and on the bottom of box Output 1 and Output 2.
Swap the 2 inputs around??? The a to z guy would have put the router in connector 1 and it will take priority off the internet. Thats what my daughter had to do when we had ares fitted in July

a2z changed all the channel frequencies last month so your TV probably just need a rescan. the router in the cupboard is for the internet so nothing to do with TV. as your tv used to work before the recent changes this is the most likely solution.

Obviously I don't know your particular tv, but it sounds more like you may not be scanning for cable channels? Be sure you are scanning for dvb- c, not dvb-t, if you have that option. Other thing to try is get a loan of a known working tv to see if the problem is with your tv or the incoming signal. Failing all that I found the guy at euronics in Camposol very helpful.

Bloke across from us in summer had the same issue. He tried his TV in other people's apartments and it worked fine. We discussed it each day in the pool (like a Fast Show sketch where the 3 blokes debate what's wrong with man-stuff) and got an update the following day, took a week to sort out.
Finally called A2Z, fixed in 5 seconds, bloke came out and swapped his cables over, someone somehow had swapped his cables (wall socket ones behind the tv, not the router ones in this instance) without him knowing said the A2Z guy, either that or they had somehow been picking up a signal before the re-tuning in summer (again - he doesn't know how).
If it hadn't been that then view was it might have been an issue with a dodgy wire in a socket (another reason I have heard).
The tip below to try your TV in someone else's apartment (or the other rooms in your apartent first) seems sensible

Sorry for not get back sooner! Apparently our amplifiers were not amplifying so signal was to low and the cable we were given when the tv was installed was a male to male and rather than male to female so we were apparently plugged into the wrong socket. Got new cable today and now don't know what to do with all our channels. A2Z were very good came on time took 10 mins to sort out all at the cat of €4 for a new cable!
