The agm went better than everybody thought it would the proposal to separate phase one and two was dead in the water and the Spanish president who was proposing the changes got voted off ,and nick from the uk was voted in,hopefully we can get back to normal and set about sorting out the problems with Polaris. It was decided that we are to sue Polaris to try to recover the funds that are outstanding.

The following letter was sent out on Friday with the Resortalia newsletter. For the information of owners who have not seen it:
Dear Owner,
At the recent AGM for the Community of Owners, a number of decisions were made including election of Block, Phase and Resort Presidents.
The following were elected:
Phase 1 Nic Whittington
Phase 2 Henry Reed
Phase 12 Richard Flukes
La Isla Barbara Goodwin
Resort Nic Whittington
These now form the committee which will take decisions for the General Community. We would all like to thank those that supported us and thank you for putting your confidence in us.
It is not hard to imagine that Spanish owners, seeing the list above, will notice that all are foreigners or "extranjeros". We want to assure you all that we wish for a united spirit in the resort, we will work for the benefit of all owners, for the community and to ensure that the resort continues to develop to as good a place to be as we can possibly make it. We all chose to spend time in Spain and wish to talk to and listen to Spanish owners as well as those from other parts of Europe. We want a dialogue and to hear your concerns.
We will work with Resortalia to identify and hopefully resolve the issues which have recently caused discontent. In particular we will follow up points from the meeting including:
- Securing legal action against Polaris World where this can give us an economic benefit
- Continuing to pressure the Torre Pacheco council to meet their responsibilities
- Improving information and communication about items such as debtor group status
We hope that everyone who was at the resort enjoyed their "Puente de la Constitucion" weekend, that you and your family will have a very Happy Christmas and that 2014 will be a happy and prosperous New Year for you and for the resort.
Best wishes / Un saludo,
Nic Whittington
Resort President
(on behalf of the new Committee)
