Hello All

Just a quick enquiry as to sale prices at Aureus and development in the general area. We have tried to get reliable information from Ocean Estates as well as lawyers and developers on current sale prices but have only got non commital replys. We have been told by local contacts that the area is set for major development and this should reflect well on the prices. I'm sure a lot of people will be in the same situation as ourselves (caught in the off plan rush and finding that things didn't quite work out as promised!) but we are trying to make a go of the situation. I have read comments from other buyers that they wern't aware that the development was to be set up on a "hotel" basis. We put our deposit down in April '04 and I must say we were aware at the time of this arrangement. The problem is that we were assured that we would never have to go to completion (whoops!) So here we are in April '07 trying to sort a mortgage ASAP. We only discovered this forum about 4 weeks ago, and I must say the photographs made available by individuals have helped convince us that Aureus does have a future. A special thanks to Spanish Buyer for the photos and information he has supplied, it has encouraged us a lot. So... if anyone has further information or comments on the situation, we would greatly apreciate your input.

I am also an irish buyer into Aureus and have been assured by my lawyer than completion will go ahead within a matter of weeks ie end may/june 07 at the latest.  I have been told by an agent recently that I should have no problem selling for 240,000 euros plus.  Just to assure you that the development looks great now, I was down there 2 weeks and was very impressed with what i saw and am glad that I didn't panic and sell when i first heard about the controversy. I am now in the process of trying to organise a mortgage locally which is as everything in spain proving to be a bit of a headache, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
