Hello all,
I don't know if any of you had any problems with the recent heavy rains and bad weather, but we are on the third floor in Muirfield and at our front foor the overflow drain from upstairs is positioned incorrectly and facing the wrong way and when the water runs from upstairs, it runs straight in to our front door. If it hadn't been for the fact that we had someone renting there, we would have had a serious problem. When they arrived back to the apartment 2 HOURS after leaving it, the water had splashed so far under our front door right past the kitchen into the hallway.
The exact same problem is happening on the back terrace from upstairs overflow. If we hadn't had a toldos installed on the back terrace - which lets face it - it really isn't to keep water out, it is more for the sun - the whole terrace and furniture would have been drenched, and if left there and empty I don't want to think about the potential damage this will eventually cause.
It seems to be every second apartment has exactly the same overflow issue. So go check your apartment floors - obviously if it ihas stopped raining now then they will be dry - or maybe not!
I have written to our lawyers about this problem and asked them to speak to Evemarina. This is a ridiculous design mistake! I know that these recent rains are really out of the ordinary, but...
Can anyone else let me know if they have had the same problem with the overflows from upstairs.
Thanks,
Tammy
