Hi,
Looking for info about El Raso I've found a link about your question...
A brief introductión about myself..: I'm 66 now and I know the story of El Raso. I've been there during several years because my father was the manager for administering the property and we used to go there in the summer holidays. At that time the property was owned by the Puerto Galiano family. They owned the license from Bayer to import aspirin in sapin and they made lots of money.
This family had relationships and family in the Guardamar and Torrevieja areas, so they decided to invest around...and they bought Finca el Raso to Elisa Ornstein Trapote, widow of Mr. Joaquin Chapaprieta, who died four or five years before.
Joaquin Chapaprieta was a Lawyer, Senator and Prime Minister of Spain who died in 954, one year before my birth !!!
Anyway, I've lots of stories of my childhood and youth, even pictures and digitised 8mm films where my father was recording the evens. The first ones in B/W and with a camera with a spring motor thas oly coul do shoots of less tahn one minute each.
If you are inrested in these docs, pls don't hesitate to contact me.
Regards.
P.S: To see El Raso today thru gmaps is for me a remebering of Back to the Future II, with an urbanized environment where we enjoyed to have walks in an old horse cart that the owners allowed us to use because there was only field and dirt roads ....
