Hi, I am contemplating buying a townhouse on SDR, does anyone have any advice or info on properties for sale currently? I have rented on Roda golf previously so have looked at SDR from afar when driving past. Are most of the properties owned by Brits or is there a healthy mix? Are there any sites that would give me info on townhouse styles, sizes etc? Is there a good community feel and are there any permanent residents ? Please feel free to PM me with any help or advice, I want to do my homework before I commit myself. Thanks, Steve.

We have owned a two bed on Roda for nearly 9 years. There is a good mix of nationalities and some british live there permanently. There is good community spirit especially at fiesta time and we have never experienced any sort of trouble. Hope this helps.

I know this thread is nearly two years old and you have probably bought by now Steve but to any future buyers I urge you to be cautious. There is a serious problem with dogs at Senario that needs to be addressed by the President's.

Hi
I appreciate this a another year on, but could someone tell me if the dog issue has been resolved. Also Steve what do you think of the Mar Menor Complex as this is another of our considerations, it just seems to be alot further out, so definately need a car.
Many Thanks
Pippa

Hi Pippa, thanks for responding to my old thread. We are very happy with our purchase on MMGR, there is s community here all year round. A few bars and restaurants , health spa, supermarket all within walking distance. Yes a car is ideally needed but you could stay on the resort without a car and visit a different restaurant every night of the week. To be fair I think a car is needed on SDR and Roda Golf, to make the most of what’s around. The beach is 12 minutes by car. I have started a FB group on MMGR, your welcome to join and ask questions, or PMme if u want any more info on MMGR.

Hi Steve
Thanks for your response. I do think you get alot for your money further inland, hence looking at Mar Menor too.
We are coming out in October for 10 days to have a look around, so will definately have a look at Mar Menor aswell as Roda.
My only issue is I have two teenage sons 13 and 18 and thought being within walking distance of the resort would maybe be easier for them to wonder off together etc, but a short car journey isnt a big issue I guess.
Please could you let me know the name of your facebook group as this would be really helpful.
Thanks
Pippa
